Well, I verified it wasn't unlocked by the multi colored screen. It was back to the normal one so I don't know what to tell you.

who knows, maybe some phones act differently or maybe the shipped exe i got is different then the one that chaffy posted, havn't downloaded his to look yet.

There are dumped roms and there are shipped roms. Dumped roms will not lock your phone. They are just dumped roms right off the phone. Shipped roms will lock your phone and they are the roms you get directly from the carrier or manufacturer. There is a huge difference. The dumped rom will NOT be a .exe and the shipped roms will be. Shipped are signed roms and dumped are not signed. That is the reason shipped roms do not require an unlocked phone.

Ok, I am not new to this, I do know the difference in dumps and shipped roms. I wouldn't have said my shipped exe if it wasn't an exe and only a shipped rom returns you to stock radio no rom dump will do that so I do know what I am talking about. I got a herman shipped exe about 2 weeks ago from a friend that works for one of the sprint repair centers here. My TP's screen stopped working a couple days ago so I can't re-flash it right now to prove my point but when I first got it from him I was running JD5.1 with a verizon radio and I activesynced the phone and ran the exe and it returned me to stock rom with stock radio. The radio was the only reason I flashed so imediately after I flashed back to stock I installed Y4J, Juggalo's and JD7.1 to see which ones I liked. It was not relocked and I did not have to unlock.

The Hard SPL versions that Cmonex and Olipro make prevent overwriting of the SPL so it remains unlocked. I have made a version for the vogue that does not have this protection, but due to the confusion it causes now all the new ones you see have this protection built in. Sometimes a new shipped rom automatically relocking your device can be a very bad thing. This is also why there are relockers provided.

Thank you for clarifying. I was about to post that no way will a shipped .exe relock the phone. Its good to know that the vogue spl allowed this to happen... I don't think I would like that feature.

So for the record NO rom, shipped or dumped or modified will relock the touch pro after flashing. The only way to relock is to use the provided relocker.

I just downloaded the ALLTEL stock rom for the touch pro but someone was talking about the radio.. wher do i get the radio part?

Is there a way to change the PagePool in the stock .exe roms? or do i just need to use the dumped rom?

The radio itself is not available yet. You can use any of the radios posted in the radio thread.

sure. just open up the exe and edit the signed.nbh file using a hex editor.

there is no reason to use the stock .exe rom though unless you need to change your radio back to stock as well. the reason is flashing the radio is much more "dangerous" then flashing the rom. I'm not saying that it isn't safe to try new radios either... just as a rule we don't flash the radio every time we flash a rom.
