your warning is refering to a different phone. has nothin to do with touch pro.
the maintenance release is an official rom and you can flash it whenever you want

hi, i am on sprint original stock rom 1.03.651.4; The problem is that the internet connects itself every once in a while even though I have disabled automatic updates for the weather and quick gps.

What could be the program causing this kind of beahaviour;

PS: I am using this phone in India on Reliance 1X network...

could be many different things like automatic email check, rss feeds, mms, or it could be a program you installed

no program was installed by me to that effect; email - I have configured to check manually; but in Messaging, I do see a Sprint Picture Mail account; maybe thats doing it - how to delete it; as the option to delete it is grayed out...
I did see a option in RSS Hub; maybe that was the culprit; I changed its Auto Update Mode to No auto update...

Lets see the results and I will keep you updated...

yes, there is one available on the HTC website here http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownloa...at=2&dl_id=546. Yes, you can unlock and flash away, like the rest of us. have fun and let us know if you need any help.

ok, so I eventually narrowed it down to Pocket Express (after the RSS feeds) as the final culprit for the getting connected to the internet automatically; have disabled its auto update and finally the internet is at rest and at my beck and command...
