Yeah the task29 is triggered by the modified rom update utility. There is another way to do it, but you still have to connect it via usb.

Do you happen to know if that other method requires the use of ActiveSync or even where to find out what the other method is?

:dontknow: I have probably done it about a dozen or more times since it has been out. Never had a problem with it, but I always make it a point to load the stock ROM once in a while. The only problem I have is my computer not recognizing my phone while in Bootloader mode. So I set up my ROM (.nbh) file on my laptop and rename it to RHODIMG.nbh and stick it on my MicroSDHC card and then put the card back into phone and hit the Volume down + Power and poof, bootloader mode and then the hit power button to upgrade comes on.!! :toothy7:
