Thank you once again.

I downloaded the kitchen and realized I didn't even include them! DOH! Funny how no one else has reported this after two months of downloads.

I am fixing this and will have an updated kitchen in a few minutes.

The most basic instructions would be:
1. Extract the kitchen into a directory.
2. Extract my sys package into the kitchen main directory.
3. Run the kitchen exe.
4. Set device to Touch Pro.
5. Set XIP and SYS builds to the build you want.
6. Put a check mark in the box for "Real WM 6.5 AKU"
7. Click the "Other" button. Change "PP" to the pagepool you want. The default of 6 is too low. I recommend 0 so it is dynamic but you can do whatever you want. Click the big "Close" button when done.
8. Choose what packages. The most basic change would be to select the carrier package. Select Sprint if you are on Sprint or Generic if you are on any other carrier. If generic, you will need to install a carrier cab afterwards.
9. Click the "Create ROM" button and let it do its thing.

Once the ROM is finished it will load the pagepool changer. You can just close it since you can choose that in the kitchen itself. Once that is closed, it will load the ROM upload utility so you can flash it.

I'm unable to check the box as described in Step 6. Any thoughts?

EDIT:
Nevermind, I really *DO* need to select the TOUCH_PRO from the Device drop down! Doh! That little step actually allows me to select things. :)

I'm interested in trying the plain 6.5 rom you have uploaded, but had a couple of quick questions that I'm hoping you can help with:

1. Does this version have the same fixes as the 6.5.5 version?
2. Does it have any issues, as no one seems to really mention it?
3. Does it have screen not responding issues? I read in one of the posts about a lag, but didn't know if it is in the kitchen, the 6.5.5 rom, etc?

Thanks!

1. Yeah everything is the same except for the SYS.
2. No issues I'm aware of.
3. I've not had any issues of that type. The only "lag" I can say I've experienced is occasionally when I close a text message and return to the list, but that has happened on any ROM I've tried and probably due to the number of messages I have stored.

Based on downloads, the 6.5 ROM is just as popular as the 6.5.5 version.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. If I understand correctly, the 6.5 rom is basically the stock Windows Mobile 6.5, right?

Thanks!

Yeah it's pure 6.5 with only the necessary packages.

I feel like I forgotten something I should know, but there is a way to maintain data connection when making receiving calls and texts, correct?

I thought it was DDTM but it looks like I can either send incoming calls to voice mail or let calls come in, thereby terminating my data connection-- completely.

I mean, I've noticed the network indicator switching from EV to 1xRTT any time I make / receive a phone call or send a text for a long, long while now-- even if I switch to using EVDO only.

Technical explanation for this?

EVDO is data only. It must switch to 1X for voice. SMS is also sent over 1X.

For some reason or another I was under the impression my older handsets (my M610, for example) could accomplish these feats of network prowess. Was that an illusion?

Swinn - I am relatively new to the ROM flashing process but once initiated you get hooked into finding what works best. =D> I have now gone through about 8-10 roms for my sorely ram crippled Verizon TP and found your ROM @ 57M the most reliable and closest to stock rom after fresh install. Having had SPB on stock rom I wish titanium had just a bit more particularly for project/task mgmt otherwise great for one-hand use. Great job on this ROM!! I hope to see a version higher than 23569 based on this work & hope to learn more about building my own rom over time and will share as you have done.
