Loving your 6.5.5 rom on my Verizon TP.

The 6.1 ROMs are there for anyone to use but I'm not supporting them. It was a request and I didn't bother to remove a lot of the 6.5 only stuff. They do work though.

Glad it is working now. It might be a good idea to do a task 29 next time you flash the phone. I have a download for it in my archive and there was a post about it today in this forum. It just wipes out the entire OS partition so you have a clean start.

Thought I'd give you a quick update on this...after having several other things go wrong with the phone, none of which could be traced to the software running on it (i.e. I went through several hard resets, flashes, etc.) the thing finally went the way of the dodo and I had to swap it out for another handset. The phones I have access to are all refurbs*, so I suppose hardware malfunction is more likely, anyway.

At any rate...I just wanted to let you know that the issue was not your ROM, but rather the phone itself. :-|

* I'm an employee of a Sprint affiliate and we get deep discounts on refurb phones. I could buy new but I'd have to pay full price, so I think I'll stick with what I've got. On the upside...I can get accessories for cost, so it's not that bad of a deal. Heck, my mother-in-law (who works for Sprint corporate) calls me whenever she needs an accessory, cause she has to pay retail! :toothy10:

This rom is great! I am having one small problem. The keyboard light always turned off way too fast. I have searched everywhere. I have tried the registry edits. I have installed the nueKBLight. I tried the advanced configuration tool. Nothing changes the keyboard light time. What am I doing wrong? I am using the 6.5 version of this rom. Please help! Thanks.

I'll have to look into it.

It appears that nueKBLight is the only solution but I can't get it to work either. The keyboard backlight timeout has plagued the TP since it was first released.

I'm having a wee bit of an issue with landscape mode and Titanium. Whenever I open the keyboard the whole middle of the screen goes pixelated or sometimes black. The top and bottom bars are fine though, it's just where it shows Titanium. If I click into the start menu, it is normal (or any other program/menu)
Any ideas?

Huh, I've never seen anything like that happen before. I'd just hard reset if it's not too much trouble, and if a soft reset doesn't fix it.

I haven't seen that. Maybe try changing to a different theme and then back again.

Posting here because I know all of you people use touch pros. . . Any of you notice or seen your screens get what appears to be moisture damage in the middle of your screen (kind of a multi color, swirly pattern)? Can see it just fine in florescent light, but not in natural or incadescent light.

I pinged the tech types at the Sprint store. Said they'd seen it a couple times, but not going to replace it under TEP. . until it fails, of course.

About the current ROM, 28 days later. . .

Has anyone else experienced the following?
  • Bing and Opera crash more frequntly. Bing probably because it's still in dev, maybe?
  • The phone also goes through bouts of unresponsiveness. Registers screen taps and the HW buttone work, but apps won;t close and / or open (depending if I'm trying to open or close something)
  • Trying to send a photo via MMS locks up the phone for several minutes. Shot at 1 mp. Maybe it's still too big and converting in the background? Any way to turn that off and just not send it if it's too big? Sending MMS video works just fine, though. No problems.
  • I suppose the proc is too weak to handle full motion video on the video out? Choppy when I fist got the phone with original stock ROM, choppy with swinnrom. Divx player or TCPMP-- no difference.
  • The Telenav cab I installed (and supplied a link to for you guys to install to, if you wished) failed 7 days after reinstall with account expiry message. Oops! Darn. Oh well. I haven't tried the official Sprint one, yet, though.
  • Voice Command works 100% announcing system events, email, incomming calls, and text messages. Great when I'm awake. Not so great when I'm trying to sleep ("The battery is low." "The battery is critically low") argh. Ok, so I turned it off for system events, Still, if someone sends an email at 2:40 in the morning. . .
  • I think I liked having my pagepool at 0 (dynamic) than 24 (static). Maybe it's they way I use my phone or purely psychological, but 0 seemed faster for me.
Thanks for a great ROM.

Out of curiosity, which which is the TP2 equivalent of this ROM?

You can produce that type of garbled video using DirectDraw if the pitch calculation is missing or wrong. That's exactly what it would look like (4 "copies" of the screen squised together). That's probably what happened here. you got from 480 x 640 x pitch to 640 x 480 x pitch. . . and the pitch is wrong. . blammo!

So, that's what happend.

Now, why? Dunno.

I'd try to restore the default Windows Default appearance (sans Titanium Weather or Home Screen Customizer and the like) see if that solves anything.
