Hey nice job on the roms bro. Whats up with the HTC font on many of the HTC apps? Looks diff.

Oh also... Any Idea why Wisbar Advance 3 doesn't seem to run correctly on your rom? As soon as you run Wisbar the graphics distort all throughout the phone such as combo boxes, check boxes and various buttons. They either disappear or graphics from previous windows seem to bleed through.

Weird, but I've noticed the same problem on various other roms from others as well, with some working fine, some not. I originally thought it might just be related to the WM builds but I discovered that wasn't the case when it ran fine on another rom with the same build.

IDK what the issue is. Any thoughts? Are you running any kind of modified drivers on your roms?

Probably since I don't include the HTC FontLink package in the ROM. I'll attach it below.

Haha I just refreshed the post and saw where ya already responded with the fix. I had just found that same file in another thread and was on my way to post it here to provide everyone with haha. But good looking out bro.

Oh and here are two images to give ya a better idea of what I am talking about with Wisbar. It seems that certain areas such as buttons and check boxes in a window disappear and graphics from the previous window bleed through on those areas. Its crazy but I cannot seem to find a fix anywhere.

I've never seen bleeding like that. What version of Wisbar are you using?

Edit: Just re-read your post above. I'll look into it more. Once I get this second phone (hopefully this weekend) I can do a lot more experimenting.

Edit2: I installed WA3 and boy my phone went crazy. It wasn't just bleeding in the settings page, it was everywhere.

Haha right. Its everywhere. I really appreciate your expedient response to this issue, as many others simply ignored it probably because of not having a workable solution and just wanted to avoid it. Its many roms that cause Wisbar to behave this way, not just yours. But then like I said, many others also seem to run just fine. I suspect it being related to a modified driver but Ive not been able to prove anything yet. Again, i reaaly appreciate your looking into this for me. Its sad Wisbar corrupts like this because I have always depended on the added functionality it brings to my ppc.

Which ROMs does it work correctly on? A kitchen that it works with would be even better. I don't use any modified drivers other than the keyboard driver which allows all the buttons to be configured. In fact with the last release I replaced everything with the drivers from the last official sprint tp rom. As soon as I have this second phone I'll try to figure it out.

Any of the SSK roms and kitchens work fine along with any of the DCD Herman roms and kitchens up until 2.06. After 2.06 it begins to corrupt and thats where I've tried to focus most of my time looking into this. The change must be between the 2.06 and 2.16 versions of his rom but its a task trying to compare everything.

Now the DCD site is no longer up evidently because I can no longer load the site without getting an error so let me know if you can't find any of his kitchens and I will send what I've got to you. The same for SSK but you fortunately can find his roms and kitchens in this same section from someone redistributing his work. Just let me know if you need me to send you anything.

Oh btw, I have always used that RaphKbdControl file so I know that can't be it.

testing this rom on a vzw touch pro today. the small footprint is what draws me towards this rom. needless to say i was rather surprised by the 42mb download lol

edit:

rom seems pretty good. very clean. very slim. ran well on the vzw tp. installed vzw carrier cab & arcsoft cab. it all works like it should. thanks for this rom, i was having issues finding one slim enuff to run on a vzw touch pro without much hassle. its not my device but rather a co-worker who needed a stable environment without a lot of fuss. thanks!

I figured it out after spending a few hours with the SSK kitchen and flashing a hundred roms haha. It is the 6.5 native kernel causing the issue with wisbar. I had it narrowed down to the xip as the cause so I copied the xip from the SSK kitchen over. As I was flashing that ROM, I was looking at the DCD thread trying to find anything related. I came across the one post that verified everything: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=482

In it, DCD said himself the only change from 2.06 to 2.16 was the kernel. So my rom booted and I installed wisbar and bam it all worked.

So, there is your answer. Unfortunately, the 6.5 kernel has too many advantages to remove from the rom.

On a side note: I made a 6.1 rom to check if the sys had anything to do with it. On this Verizon TP, it had over 80mb free after boot haha.
