EDIT: Looks like it was just that first boot that took forever. In the OS in under 1 minute on 2nd boot. The shift, function and symbol keys are not working on the keyboard...

ahuskins is aware of the keyboard issue. He has a possible fix, may cook it into the next update. In the meantime run this cab:
Attachment 53018

It will give you a "plain" SIP but the hard keyboard will function properly.

After that if you want to try to match the SIP to the theme, try Finger Keyboard (under Tools) that is cooked in. It has a Black/Grey skin to match the theme.

Sorry, SIP is another way to say the onscreen or soft keyboard.

Soft Input Panel :)

Makes sense. I thought that's what you meant. So will this make the hard keyboard function correctly? I don't really require the function key if symbol works. Shift and symbol are the main 2.

Yes installing that cab will allow the hard keys to function-sorry forgot the reason on that one.

Yea. It looks like everything is working again. Not really worried about the SIP matching the theme. I'm going back to an iPhone ASAP so I'm just fuxing around with these windows mobile devices. Thanks for the fix.

The only other problem I see is the fact that 4 icons over lap the bottom of the UI on the home tab.

Well despite you fouling the thread with the Fruit Phone reference I'll explain anyway :)
Those are swipeable off the screen. They are part of the Max mod which is highly customizable, spend some time playing around with the all the possible configuraitons.
For example with those 4 icons present, if you tap the top of the screen in the center the screen will go into Fullscreen Mode and the slider will drop out of view except for a small icon to bring it back up. That is just one of many options.

I would recommend adding swype and swype-vga-fix. It is pretty impressive. This ROM does look to be pretty tight!
