I to am having this issue with rootroms. (just flashed carbon and don't know if I will have it this time).

BUT....

I did have the slow MMS issue with TitaniumRoot, and Iroot. But so far not with any other roots I have tried. I am getting ready to send me one from the wife's phone...

BTW, Location weather fired up right away first boot, very fast without me doing anything.... IMPRESSED! That is a first with any rom yet!

EDIT: for everyone's FYI... when installing the Alltel 4 step MMS fix SLOW, When selecting alltel from the carrier list INSTEAD of the fix... FAST. (carbon) However, some of the roms do NOT work when selecting Alltel from the server list, forcing me to still install the fix... don't know if the fix sometimes causes slow MMS but there is what I have found. Hope this helps any Alltel users.

Been running Carbon for a while..loving it.. the camera is "buggy" but you just touch the screen and it works perfect. i must have had a couple bad flashes cuz my phone is now lasting all day with full texting (500 a day) and a couple phone calls. getting full charges in 30 min...

weather and location was running before the boot process finished...very nice. loving the look too. looks sweet with cookies homescreen mods.....

EDIT:
Dont know if anyone else get this but after making edits to Cookies mod I sometimes have half a white screen. All I do is kick out the kb for a sec and then close it.
The quick flip into Landscape and back takes care of it every time.

Anyone have a suggestion for a voice recorder program (not in call) for a person to person meeting free is best but I'll take best recommendation. I've got a 6 hour meeting tomorrow and need to record it.

I'm lovin the lovin. You have really outdone yourself on Carbon Root. It is fast, responsive and looks great. Like others have said, weather (my location) syncs on the first startup - something mine has never done before with any custom ROMS. I've blamed it on my Airave, but this synced the weather inside my house.

Google maps locked on to 8 satellites in a matter of seconds. And since I had done the flash dance, I'm back on the Sprint radio. I may stay on it for a bit before going back to the Verizon Radio just to see how things work.

I like the assortment and arrangement of programs too. And "MyPhone" is finally the right version. I didn't have to download a newer version and install it like I had to in the past.
