Big mahalo for all the work you guys have put in so far to get it where it is. Super exciting stuff. HTC should hire you guys... probably be faster and more economical, haha!

anytime i try to flash this rom, i cant get past the lockscreen... i did a nandroid backup. then a wipe before i flashed.. what am i doin wrong? thanks!!!

now i cant get back my fresh's 1.1 nandroid restore. it has all my contacts on it... i keep getting the error-nandroid- mobile.sh restore via console!???

Did you try plugging your phone in. Mine did the same thing, but worked after connecting power.

Have you tried flashing stock again. There could be an issue in the memory and needs to be flushed to clear it out. Just a thought.

I just tried that last night lol. It is just the standard vanilla UI you would see if you were on 1.5 and disabled sense :( The lockscreen didnt change for me I don't think. I didnt try disabling the hero lockscreen, and I'm not even sure if you can... haven't tried it yet.

It is the new SDK but for the GSM phones. Need one specific for the Hero. Here is the post in the main forums about it.

Looks like the official 2.1 SDK has finally been released... do you think this will help with the CDMA Hero 2.1 ROM development?

I am going to follow this thread, as I don't think I can live without the camera and the visual voicemail. But this is great work. Keep it up. This community is fantastic!!!!

As a more everyday deal, I would def need the camera, since I use it often. The Visual Voicemail is obsolete, because I use YouMail and Google Voice, so no need for Sprint Visual VM. The multi touch would be great to have, but not required. All in all, still great job and much appreciating all the time and developement that has been keeping this moving.

Looks like we are getting close to being able to over-clock our heros (may initially only be available with the 2.1 rom in development). Check out the last couple of pages for info.

That would be nice, because many apps being released are requiring 2.0+ and even 1.6, which is ridiculous, because I'm still hanging on to 1.5 :) Change is coming...

Hi, I tried to flash this ROM, but phone got stuck in lock screen, and when I unlocked only error messages appeared. I was coming from a previous fresh rom 1.1 . Should I try again but putting sprint stock first? Would it make any difference?

I would flash the Sprint load that is 1.56.651.2, Then I would return to the fresh rom. Do a complete wipe also. There may be a conflict in the software on the SD card that is causing issues.

Oh I watch his site. He is doing good work, I am sure of it. I am hoping the phone smoothes out with the update. My wife has the moment and it is not as laggy. Irish It was not so hard to switch from cdma and gsm for the operating system.

I have never heard that people had more lag from moment to hero. I know the processor is bigger, but I think it may be placebo.

I think the GSM rom is in about the same situation isn't it?

I thought there is a driver difference which is why we dont have 2.1 yet. That was my point.

On the moment item, I figured it is because it does not have the sense UI. I see performance issues. I would not change thou. I just dont text anymore. To much of a pain.

Yea thats cool. That could be it. Someone told me they didn't have a lag issue. Have you tried messages app? It doesn't lag at all for me!

I am using chomp. Tried handcent for a while and I like chomp better. I am typing to you on my phone now, since I am too last to boot up the computer. This is laggy too. I am just trying to get use it. I have had the phone since it came out. I am thinking this would not bother me if I was using a keyboard like the tp. Won't change from this beauty.

I see. I haven't tried chomp. The browser typing does get a little slow. GTalk and Messages are super fast though. I think it when that kb is on top of a different environment than stock. I remember the hardware KB on the TP was laggy, but you're right it wasn't hard to use.

No I had not plans. Did not know about it till you said something. Outside of College football, I don't pay attention. I live on the south east side of Nashville. Not home much normally. Work is rather slow. Thought I would catch up on my house choirs for the wife. They pile up when on the road 10 months out of the year.

How long should the HTC screen be up after a flash? I was coming from stock root, wipe when I flashed this ROM. I got to the initial HTC Hero intro, but then the thing has been stalled on HTC for at least 7 minutes.

I wanted to do the new toast kernel with this ROM, did I need to flash that before I rebooted?
