had this same problem. not sure if it's because the kitchen was only supposed to work with 1.5 and not officially with 2.x yet.

Anyone having trouble with a2sd? I had a freshly partitioned card and after installing some apps, my phone memory is down to 21 mb. Obviously the apps aren't insalling to the sd. Thanks.

I also had to push the program. I had to push foot prints and it works great until I try to capture a new one, then it forces close. I think I am the only person in the world that uses that program.

Every time I restart the phone, it treats every app as though it's the first time I opened it (EULA and PLEASE DONATE banners pop up). I wiped the phone, wiped the sd/ext, and then flashed the phone. Should I wipe the entire card and then reflash and re-partition?

ok first of all i am amazed at how great this rom is!!! omg its like having a new phone! Thank you thank you thank you. i do have one question tho....how does one manage groups in contacts. all my groups are showing up and i would like to change that so only some of them show on my phone.

I wiped/reflashed a second time and I'm still having issues. I do have a little more info than I did when I first posted. It seems to be charging normally with some chargers but very slowly with others. For instance, I have a charger at work from my XV6700. It's always worked just fine before but now that I've flashed to this ROM it charges painfully slow. My car charger that's always worked is really slow as well. So much so that if I'm running Google Maps Navigation, the charger can't keep up and I start losing some power when in the past it would still charge and get to 100% eventually.

I installed Fresh 2.1 and everything is working as promised but, my contacts that were synced to Facebook, didn't all sync. I have some linked and some that didn't. Anyone know what's going on?

I've flashed this ROM twice now and it gave me this issue both times. It seems to take a LONG time or it gets cut off mid-sync or something. I flashed last night around 10pm and I manually synced through the "Sync All" option in the Account & Sync settings area and it finally got everyone over this afternoon. Something isn't working right but be patient and manually sync every once in a while and they should eventually sync over.

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, I noticed that my Facebook contacts stopped syncing in the "D"s. I'll keep doing syncs and hopefully I'll end up just like you. I do have to say...I like this ROM! Nice!

Unfortunately one thing I noticed was that it seems every time you manually sync, it adds another entry for those people at the top. For example, the first person in my contact list has "View Facebook profile" 7 times on his contact page. Annoying but at least all are finally synced.

I searched this thread in regards to the charging issue but couldn't find a definite reason or resolution. Has anyone found a fix for this?

anyway to be able to force close the camera? under battery usage it shows camea using over 90% and that's after a reset and not using camera at all. I've tried looking under apps to shut r down but no go.

Try flashing stock htc keyboard. Just flash from recovery. I flashed and have no lag issues.

Maybe somoene can help me with this...

I sync my phone thru my exchange at work. On my stock ROM they didn't have me set a password for the device. On this ROM I did. I'm okay with that. I was just wondering if there's a way to set it to where I don't have to enter the password EVERY SINGLE TIME I turn on the screen.

On my Touch Pro (1 & 2) and my Diamond I was able to set it where it only made me enter the PW every 20 minutes. There doesn't seem to be such a setting on the Hero. Anyone have any advice?

how's the battery for everyone? mine is horrible... today i only checked few emails and once checked traffic on google map. and it's almost 2pm and already dropped to 70%. unplugged my phone at 7am that was 100% charged. what presets you guys use on autokiller???

Mine is pretty bad. It won't go a full day anymore. Maybe 1/2 a day if I don't use it alot.

I don't know about you guys, but today i took it off the charger at 9am with 100% battery, kept mobile internet connected and always on. Constantly used text messaging, google talk and voice. Made 6 or 7 calls, checked my email and opened up a few attachments. All the while gmail calendar, contacts, and gmail auto sync is on as well as twitter sync and auto weather update (1hr). Probably missing some other things but my current battery now (its 10:30pm, so 13 1/2 hours later) is 44%

I have autokiller set to automatic/default setting. I shut the screen off when i'm not using the phone. My display (battery hog) is set to auto brightness. I never turn on gps unless its plugged into my car charger (didn't use gps today). WiFi and bluetooth keep always off.

Check currently running background apps by holding down the home button... You can shut these apps down by pressing menu>settings>applications>running services... Tap any currently running application that you don't need, to stop it. Some people have MANY MANY apps running and have no idea.

Did you check out "Running Services" after you click Applications in the settings menu? Is the camera there or any other program that utilizes the camera? (e.g. google goggles or a barcode scanner, ect...)

Anyone know how to give an app root access without being able to do it when you open the app? I have a few apps installed that require root access but it just goes to the SU Request screen and it's just a black screen so I can click "Always Allow".

Nevermind...figured it out. Apparently un-checking "Enable USB Debugging" affects SuperUser's ability to work properly. Re-checked that and bam...back to working again.

To be honest i havent had one single issue with this rom... just got my replacement hero in this morning.. rooted..then updated my prl to the newest.. the flashed fresh 2.0d running smoother than before.lol everything works without issue..


I say if your having problems.. flash back to fresh 1.1.. and then wipe.. then flash..

im noticing a huge power drain...cant even last 6 hours with moderate use txting and such. anyone else seeing this issue also? i look at my battery usage and it says bluetooth is taking as much power as idle time. ill try going without bluetooth tomorrow...

not sure on the batt drain.. I have the seidio 3500 mAh extended battery....

Like i said what i did was flash to fresh 1.1,,then wipe..then flash fresh2.0d.. and havent had a single problem..

Anyone else having issues with the brightness randomly changing? I had it set to auto and would notice it seemed really bright in a dark room and it turns out the phone automatically turned it's brightness all the way up. So then I tried turning auto brightness off and putting it really low and it turned it all the way up again! It doesn't happen right away but over time it does.

if you have the auto brightness on and wake up the phone in complete darkness, it will max it out. i know this because every night i check my phone before i go to sleep and blind my ass to dream land .

New rom is working great with the exception of my Hero has been locking up when trying to use the HTC people widget. It does connect however I can not hear people and they cannot hear me. This has only happened after the 2.0d Rom was installed. Anyone else having the same issue??

i love this rom alot nice job but i have 1 question....before i rooted and flashed i had a decent amt of internal memory and alot of apps installed after root, wipe, flash and wipe again i have only a few apps installed and hardly any internal memory...i have a sprint hero...i have searched and googled but cant seem to find anything that i can understand....

So I got a new Hero and followed the directions here step by step, or at least i thought, but now I cannot boot my Hero. It loads the first HTC screen, goes to the white HTC screen (Fresh!), then back to the first HTC screen and nothing after that. I have let it sit for more 30 minutes, so it just being a matter of time is not the case.

Can anyone help? I am on-call 24/7 for my job and my on-call phone won'y boot now...

What ROM did you flash? If you flashed the one I suggested you need to go back into recovery, and make sure you WIPE (I always do device and dalvic, or however you spell it) and re-flash the ROM and you will be fine. It will take a few minutes on first boot, but you have to go back in and wipe and re-flash.

Feature request: "Roaming only" mode

It was very helpful on WM phones, but haven't seen it in any of the android roms.

Thanks for the private tutoring via MSN tonight, I appreciate it. Why in the hell I didn't think/see to wipe it first, I don't know. But I am up and running and this ROM is very fast and responsive.

And I will admit, smaller processor or not, my Hero is keeping right up with the Moment, if not surpassing it. And that is thanks to this great ROM!
