Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Menu/Filter/All

Scroll down to HTCSense, then select clear defaults

Now Press the Home key and it will prompt you to select Home or HTC Sense.

Now you can select the use as default check box and pick the home you'd like to use

or

Dont check the box and you will be prompted to choose everytime you press the home button.

Anyone else having trouble with the browser using cached webpages and no refreshing? Noticed this especially with Facebook and ESPN. For example, a general facebook homepage bookmark does not update to current without clicking home many times. (if that makes any sense???) anyone else experiencing this?

anyone try the 2.0b2 yet? I am curious about some of the fix's that he stats on this rom. Is anyone else getting a text 2 voicemail message. Everytime i get a voicemail it sends me a text message to call a number to get my voicemail. But when I push 1 it will go to voicemail. Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone else having problems with SMS?

In Handcent, no matter who I send it to, it compiles into one thread and it says "Sprint Customer Service." Also, when I get an FB update, it says the message is from a contact. No 'per contact' settings either.

Google Nav alone is worth tryin out this ROM. I'm also having the FB issue with unknown numbers. I also can't shut off vibrate for the dialer. And has anyone else notice the quick vibrate after initiating a call?

The little vibration after you initiate a call like a confirmation that your call has been dialed and is connecting. I kind of like it, everyonce in a while i'll hit a persons name and put the phone up to my ear waiting for it to ring, realizing I didn't tap "call so and so"

Spent 2 hours trying to figure it out and still don't get it. Downloaded a few from market but I dont see them anywhere. Disabled sense and when I go to homescreen settings I get "wallpaper gallery home" and "Wallpaper gallery rosie utility", neither show animated wallpapers. :(

I don't want to try installing different programs/roms or whatever until I have it confirmed by someone with this rom already on their phone lol, still too new to android.

Hmm, I installed 2.0b2, and I found out the live wallpapers were removed. lol oh well still a sweet rom!

I can't create an account for Yahoo Mail, everytime I log in it gives me an error saying authentication failed. I know that I'm using the right username and pw, I got right in on my other demo phones.


Is anyone else having this problem??

Anyone having SMS issues? I've noticed that any message over 1 page long will not send and just goes into a retry send loop.... Happens on both handcent and the stock hTC app.

the voice mail notification wont go away at the top of the screen(Sprint Hero) and get sms notification of voicemails. i understand the sms is normal but how can i get rid of the notifications. i already tried to clear the voicemail in the settings menu but it comes back after 5 mins. other than that its the best ROM ever...and thats not an understatement

I can't get voicemail to work at all.. I've received three since switching to this ROM and can't find a way to listen to them. What'd everyone else do to set up voicemail with Fresh?

okay things i noticed and I dont find a fix for include (but not limited to) lol:

Having to call a ( 408 ) number to get to my voicemail which sends me a text when I receive one.

also random contacts show one of my facebook friends for almost every unsaved number or incoming call. is there a problem with linking FB and the phone contacts?

I also notice a FC on running wireless tether..

everything else so far seems great.

This rom still has alot of verizon stuff on it. VM seems to be configured towards their system. The sms look like hidden system texts which tell the visual voicemail program to download the voicemail.

Idk if anyone has had this problem but for some reason when I try to look at the pictures from g-mail e-mails they never load...is there any way to fix this.

quick question,, say if i wanted to go back to fresh 1.1.. do i just go to recovery and flash back..to fresh 1.1? or do i have to do anything special.. like wipe or use the sprint ruu..thingy..

Seems right now the "easiest" way is to do a nandroid backup, drop down to a 1.5 ROM, update the profile, and then restore back to Fresh 2.x

I think it has to do with us not having flash. If the images are imbedded, there is usually an button you can push that will download the pics but as for them just appearing in the message body like regular email, dont think it is possible. I could be wrong.

Yeah I know what you mean by the lack of flash, but even when I press the button, the pictures don't load up just a blue back with a question mark pops up in its place. WEIRD i know...so idk but thanks for the suggestion.

Since I installed this rom wireless tether doesn't work. What happens is it'll say starting then switch to a window that says SU request on the top then nothing happens for a while till it says it's not responding and to force close or wait. I tried other programs that require su permission and they all do this. If I remember correctly it should ask me to allow access but it never does. I've reflashed the rom but it didn't help.

Does anybody have any advice on how to fix this?

You have to boot into recovery, wipe device, flash the aosp hero 1.6, adb googlebits into /system/app, go into market and download twidroid free, wipe, restore backup of 1.5.

so i couldnt just wipe. then flash back to fresh 1.1?

I just wiped from flashing most of the 2.1 ROM's and flashed Fresh1.1 back on again. No issues, or hassles. Still waiting on a 2.1 that fixes Bank of America and has live wallpaper. (Or in a couple weeks I will have my phone that Google is sending me for having a popular app, and then I will be happy with Fresh 1.1 as my WiFi router while I play with a real 2.1 phone.)

Would restoring to a nandroid backup that was made with the phone stock (rooted of course) fix this?

no. its a server side issue with Google. that's why you get the "congratulations on your new nexus 1" email.

can you guide me on how to flash it? i tried and 2.0b and when i did the restore it went back to 1.1 but when i tried without restore it worked but i dont got my apps and stuff..

A restore is used to revert back to the previous rom you backed up. Not to backup applications. If you backup 1.1 then flash 2.0b. Then restore, it will take you back (like a timemachine) and put you back on the 1.1 rom. If you want 2.0b you will have to reinstall the apps; If they came from the market, open up market and click downloads. It will show all the apps you used to have. Just click each one to download and install.

hey not trying to step in anybodys toes or anything noob to hero a wm junkie just swapped to hero is this a pretty reliable rom or is there many bugs that should make me feel like going back to stock??and after i root and flash can i go back to factory defaults for any warranty purposes with out a big chance of a brick??
