The change was made after his v0.51... my nandroid of both his and your v0.51 based roms work fine.. i posted on his forum too.

So its not possible to edit the rom released on 6/2/11 and put the new kernel in for the brightness issue? Is it all or nothing when it comes to that?

the radios will not be in the rom.....better to flash seperate

If I got back to either your 0.51 based or Miks 0.51.. I can reboot and go to roam and back and not have bogus vm notifications. Every version since then has had the bogus VM notification. I don't think the VM notification is coming from VVM. It's the icon that appears on the lockscreen for VM and in the upper left of the task bar that tells me to call my own number for VM.
