That said, XDA members are working on it right now. I believe you will probably see a rooted version by tonight.

Well at BEST, you lose root. You could also lose root and make your phone unrootable from there on out.

At worst, this could be buggy and really f up your phone.

It's legit... I download it already and looked at the files but not a programmer and waiting for a rooted version.

Yeah, reading the XDA thread myself right now. I'm gonna wait for them to sort it all out and put up a flashable, rooted version.

I MIGHT still just stick with Deck's rom though, cause idk if I'd be able to put on the vanilla GB launcher (which I love)
