My official determination- if you like the stock Froyo, upgrade to this. It's faster and smoother. If you want something that looks like the GB we're all used to already, go with Deck's or CM7 (or whatever else you might prefer).

Me personally? I'm going back to Deck's in a hurry. Thank goodness for Nandroids

Just did the same my self. Back on deck after 15 min of playing with the OTA

Sent from my HTC EVO 4G Android 2.3.3

Why not? What's the worst that would happen? Just curious.

I downloaded and tried to install and was unable to . Soon as i went to flash the Zip file it aborted .

Well at BEST, you lose root. You could also lose root and make your phone unrootable from there on out.

At worst, this could be buggy and really f up your phone.

And how would you do that? All you need so is leave a copy of a rooted image on your SDCard.

Flashing an unrooted rom CAN (not will, but it's possible) brick your phone. Not that this is an issue now, cause the original d/l wasn't flashable and then XDA has broken it down into a flashable rom.

if u were to install an RUU official version that included a new hboot, it's very possible to lose root

I'm running Tmartins version now.....very nice

Yeah I saw that too. Excited to see what they may come up with tomorrow if it is ready for release.

What a great way to start Spring Break for me.
