I also like the DSP. Use it to add bass.

Also, can someone recommend a dialer they use? Im still surprised that the native gingerbread doesn't support speed dial and dial by name...

Dialer One.. Its in the market for free.

really? i didnt know it was even an option. i know the voicemail to text you have to pay for, but i wasnt aware of an extra charge for visual voicemail. interesting. ill see what i can do tho i read this after i cooked up pre3. you can always use titanium backup from the market and uninstall it in the meantime.

pre3:
-100% fixed gps. yes, 100%. no need for any trick anymore.
-removed dsp manager for now. not sure if it will make its way back in or not yet. does anybody even use it?
-few more build optimizations.
-added cm's tablet tweaks.
-updates to camera.
-updated proprietary files from leaked rom.
-few others i cant remember off the top of my head.

EDIT: released. OP for info.

Yup, it's not an 'option,' available for plans. It's just automatically associated with most plans that work with the EVO. I believe it is associated with 4G service. For me, voicemails just come through as regular notifications. I also don't have 4G.

I appreciate it! ROM is great, BTW.

edit: I don't use the DSP manager. =)

God damnit deck, making me sign up at ppcgeeks just because your ROM is nice. I have a request, possible way to edit the number of screens we can put on the homescreen?

Thanks

BTW post over to xda ;P

i will post 1.0 release over that way :)

I use dsp manager everyday, listening to my music. It is actually my 2nd reason for using your rom. If you take dsp manager out, I will need you to create a flashable zip of the current version you have. Thanks.

ok, i will make sure to re-add it or make a zip for it.

deck...I'm seriously digging your ROM...very nice. Love the battery life!!

I, too, use dsp manager regularly...and would like to see that stay in the ROM...OR like the other post...a flashable version or maybe an .apk.

not sure if this has been addressed yet...but the power control buttons on the notification screen seems to disappear after a theme swap (theme chooser) any way to reenable the buttons?

a reboot should solve it.

hope all is well other then that. can anybody on pre3 confirm data speeds back to normal?

thanks,

My data speeds are fine with pre2. I have 3G only - last speed test was 2185 kbit/s down and 919 kbit/sec up. Little better then normal actually.

what the...how do you get such fast speeds? would it matter like where you're located? I'm in phoenix and I've only ever gotten over 1000 kbit/s on 3g....

Re: [4-16-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [pre3][1.0]

I have awesome speeds in this area of Houston. Speeds only get that high at night, though.

Damn straight the area makes a huge difference. At my friends apartment 4 miles away I get like 500 kbit.

I just did another test and it was 1198/734, 4:40pm Saturday. The 2185 result was at 1:20 AM.

Unfortunately that is only the Sense dialer that does that stock. You could look into dialers on the Market though.

Thanks for the info TeeJay.
