+1 about the GAPPS only having the market, which is fine just use TB..I did a full wipe and flashed RC 8 with tiamat 3.3.5 kernel and the battery life was great but I think it made the rom kinda wonky..screen transition wasnt smooth, screen response sucked when hanging up calls etc, it couldve been bc i had taskiller set to automatic, idk..but i flashed RC10 today with the newest SZ SBC kernel and the same things happening, I did a full wipe with that too...for me, RC 7 with sz no SBC CFS was the best.

I just flashed this for the first time after just rooting my phone. RC10. It's now on the ANDROID screen with the shimmer. Been there for more then 5 minutes now. Is this normal?

No. Wipe cache and davlik in recovery and then reboot.

Maybe it's a bad flash, or even a bad download. Try wiping everything and then flashing a different ROM, then wiping everything and flashing this ROM again (redownload).

I went back to recovery and did a full factory reset / full user wipe. Booted past the ANDROID screen in about 2 minutes this time. Seems to be working!
