I'll wait till RC10. Everything is working the way they should except for GPS as some others have reported. I did the fix, but the problem continues.

Found a trick to the GPS fix. I did the reset but when it rebooted I fired up Google Maps and let it get a lock on my location. Then, I booted into recovery and restored Deck's rom. GPS is working great. I tried a couple of times before and I couldn't get it to work.

for whatever reason .. i had to do the fix twice and on the 2nd time i was finally able to get the gps to work correctly ... after the first time it didnt fix anything

GPS (mlin's guide)
GPS fix- has worked for many users, however, YMMV.

1 - Go to the Market and download the app: MSL Reader
2 - Use this app to get your MSL # (mine was six digits) 2 - Flash to any Sense ROM
3 - Launch phone dialer and dial ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#)
4 - Enter the MSL Number from above
5 - Your phone will automatically reboot in 10 seconds
6 - After you're rebooted back into the Sense rom download GPS status from the market and be sure to get a GPS lock
7 - reFlash or restore CM7/MIUI
8 - Hopefully this fixed your GPS!

Not sure what the difference is - HW vs ? But I had done the run the fix, actually locked location on MAPS and NAVIGATION yet when I come back to this (or any GB ROM) no GPS.

Holding out and hoping for a fix!

For all the people running savage kernels, the latest version out gives you the ability to toggle SBC and no SBC on the fly. I have been using savage for weeks and get great battery life, everything works, GPS, wimax,ect. Being able to toggle is awesome, almost as awesome as rc9, thanks deck.

What sense rom are you using? I use Calkulin's EVIO 2 v1.8. My hardware version is 3.

Is there a fix for wifi, i am getting error when i try to enable???

Try reflashing and wipe everything.

##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#) does nothing for me. When I dial it nothing happens. No ## codes work now on my Evo. My GPS still sucks and when I make a phone call I have to press and unpress mute in order for anyone to be able to hear me. Im on RC9 with the same issues that I had with RC7 and RC8. I have done full wipes and have also flashed back to other ROMs and not had these issues. Also what happened to the ability to update stuff like PRL?

The ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#) along with updating the PRL only works on Sense ROMS. Like Calks EVIO 1.8. I recommend nandroid decks and throw Calks 1.8 on your phone. Dial ##GPSCLRX# (##4772579#) and make sure you have your MSL code handy. Then after the device restarts open Google Maps and get a lock. Then you can also update your PRL while on a Sense ROM. Then you can nandroid back to decks ROM and you should have a GPS lock along with the latest PRL.
