First post.

"Main reason from moving away from CM6/7 (cyanogenmod), ADW launcher and the extra added bloat and themes."

So basically this is CM7 without their tweaks and apps and themes.

Loaded up PRE7 last night, swapped in TIAMAT 3.3.8 non SBC. All is good with @ 50% at 14 hours off charger.

Only issue I have found is the GPS icon stays on/comes back after having GPS on and then turning it off. Clears with re-boot.

Otherwise a great ROM.

probably is the apps data that could be screwing with the rom. hes mentioned before to try not to restore app data since he's made major changes between pre versions.

Restore data just for the games then and not for the more system integrated apps like your mms client or dialer or music player, etc.

Also if you are using darktremor, almost all my forceclose problems went away when I started using the non beta version. It is the one listed under beta 3 on his evo xda post. I think it is 2.7.5.2-1 , I had a terrible time with his new versioned beta 3 and 4. Launcher pro would force close on boot every time which was real annoying, even though it worked fine afterwards. And things were just real sluggish.

Also the mediacenter problem has been resolved in tiamat 3.3.8 and in sz 2.0.2. I personally use SZ cuz I like to be able to toggle SBC depending on how fast I want it to charge after 90percent depends on my activities for the day and if I'm not going to have a chance to have it charging long enough then it is faster to charge without.

Anyways, I'm just glad that hiccup is gone. Man you could watch your battery disentegrate with that crap.

well. there is actually quite a bit different. as mentioned before, yes i use the stock aosp gingerbread launcher. also many packages are stock aosp packages, not edited and modified by the cm team. cyanogenmod uses a few other packages i.e. their statistics and etc that i do not add. i also add some other tweaks that i have learned over the past year. i consider my rom more of a base rom, stock, but with all the usefull features, without the bloat. ready for you to theme it the way you like! in no way am i putting cyanogenmod down, as they are quite responsible for gingerbread running on our devices. they have some of the best devs out there hands down. hope this helps out. i like my roms to be as minimal as possible, and vanilla, so the user can theme it the way he/she likes.

so nobody knows how to remove froyo 2.2 sense camera from calkulin 1.8 rom and provide so i can install into decks gingerbread?

others are feeling the same way i do as the htc sense camera app works the best with HTC phones. someone was able to port it over to the Nexus S, but it looks like you have to flash it over your rom. as i do not know how to build roms we can't easily use that flash for the Nexus S on our Evo's.

Porting the 2.2 htc camera.apk and others to stock 2.2 android? - xda-developers

The problem isn't the Sense/non-Sense thing- it's that the HTC camera from Froyo is compiled for Froyo. When moving from one version of Android to the next the frameworks needed to run certain applications can change, making them unusable without an optimization for the newer version, hence why things like Qik won't work on 2.3.3 yet (or didn't- idk if the leaked version's Qik will work for everyone). Basically it might be possible once the working official OTA version of 2.3.3 is available, but until then I wouldn't hold out for it.
