Nothing that has been released. Only Evolution and Cyanogen's. Sit tight, I would say this week they would be both out!

What do you guys think:
Damage Rom or Fresh Rom? Looking for overall stability Thx, Force |
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/20) 22 Roms and Counting!!!
I like Damage, trying mikirom now though
|
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/20) 22 Roms and Counting!!!
Ya I am on Damage now & like it, however it doesn't seem to have OTA updates (at least OTA compatable with Rom manager)
I like that idea, because in theory you could always have the latest & never flash another rom if you find one you liked and used OTA updates Force |
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/20) 22 Roms and Counting!!!
the latest nightly build on CM6 pretty stable. I have ran the last 3 nightlies...and its the best of them all.
ability to overclock, OVER 30 fps natively (i'm avging 50,) apps2sd, working cameras front and back WITH video... there are FCs here and there...but I'm ready to use this nightly for my everyday and give it a shot. am including the link to XDA for the unofficial thread...beware that there are LOTS of junk in that monster of a thread...so take your time...and use search when applicable. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=729367 |
Thanks for the link, I don't know which one to flash with all that junk

don't worry about those links...since CM6-RC1 is NOW available...follow this link to XDA

Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/20) 22 Roms and Counting!!!
getting ready to test out the new cyanigen. but i just that while using the baked snack rom on xda it lost 5% battery just by sitting about 10-15min by itself. is that normal?

Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/26) 28 Roms and Counting!!!
I'm having a hardtime trying to install cyanogen rom. I get errors everytime. I don't have problems with others ...like ava-froyov2 and others....... what am I doing wrong?
|
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/26) 28 Roms and Counting!!!
It should be straight forward. It stays in the boot screen for about 5 mins. what link did you dl from?
BTW, FB sync works only on Ava for whatever reason. I love it so far though. |
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/26) 28 Roms and Counting!!!
You have to do a factory, cache and dalvik wipe before you flash. Are you NAND unlocked?

Loaded the cyanogen rom liking it, I too miss the sense but going to keep it for a few days and play with it.
|
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/28) 29 Roms and Counting!!!
There are 2.2 sense roms as well. I find them to be more stable
|
Re: All EVO Roms (Updated 7/28) 29 Roms and Counting!!!
I'm not a huge fan of Sense...think it wore out its welcome since I ran it for a long time with my TP and TP2.
I did like Y4J's FrankenROM...think the original release worked best for me.. that really was the only ROM with Sense I tolerated. I ran Ava's FroyoROM for a time, I didn't like how Sense imposed itself on some of Froyo's finer points. I was a particularly fond of Ava's V version ROMs...they were fast and stable (for me at least.) Since flashing some of the CM nightlies...I was hooked. For those that seemed to have battery issues with CM6 RC1...try using Juice Defender and see if that helps out at all. Its free and its in the market. |

Re: ->->39 EVO Roms! (Updated 8/3)<-<-
this rom thread is great and nicely organized.
maybe you guys can help me out? Im running the nightly cm project but the battery life is horrendous. I know about the fixes and such but still. I'm going on vaca from Thursday-Sunday and could use the best battery life possible without a charger. Of course I use my phone like most...text,email,twitter... which rom should I download that would give me the battery life I had from the stock rom when I first got my evo? I was getting a good 2 days from it..now i charge often. plus i tether alot but wont be much on vaca. thanks alot guys sorry if i didn't make too much sense. its 7am =) |

i usually have the internet on due to twitter but location setting might be a good option for me to try. ill look at some posts over at xda to see what rom i should choose, since I really only need it for days im on vacation and of course will have a charger as well. |

Fresh is a great ROM for battery life. My battery stays good daily. I don't have to charge but once and that's overnight. |
Re: ->->45 EVO Roms (Updated 8/5 Added Damage 3.5, netarchy 1.0, Calkulin 2.2)<-<-
Is there ANY 2.2 ROMs that have decent battery life? EVERY single one I've tried, including Fresh, has drained my battery faster than a stripper drains my wallet at a strip club!
|
Re: ->->45 EVO Roms (Updated 8/5 Added Damage 3.5, netarchy 1.0, Calkulin 2.2)<-<-
Out of them all, Damage 3.2.3 which is a 2.1 rom. Im testing the 2.2 roms to see the best in battery

In searching the various forums, I read that when you do a wipe to a new ROM the battery memory is wiped as well and you need to recondition (recalibrate is the word they used) the battery. When I first installed Fresh's new 2.2 ROM I was disappointed...but I decided to charge overnight (phone off), use off the charger all day until battery fully drained and then repeat. Try to avoid putting on the charger until it is about to go dead...after a few days of this you should see maximum battery life. Right now I'm at 89% after 2h 11m...and I've been playing Wordfeud with a friend all morning...and I've had a 30 minute phone conversation. I don't use a task killer anymore and I have Android Mate where I go in periodically and stop the running processes. Remember: if you are using the phone nonstop for videos, internet, games, etc that will eat battery life regardless of phone. If for regular use, you should get 12hrs+ daily out of the battery. |
A lot of people seem so jolly now with their froyo, pri and fps unlocks. Its like Christmas
