JD's Clean Sense MOD
 

Well its been awhile since I was here .....

anyway this is a MOD I did started for myself that I was asked to share....

1. This is a clean MOD of the EVO4G OTA Update 3.29.651.5 it has none of the added apps from HTC or SPCS only the apps and services need to run Sense without breaking any of the other system components. I have modified the sytem and kernal slightly to speed up some things and I also have added a fix for USB tethering (thanks Calk).

Honestly I don't feel like giving to much of an breakdown of this mod due to the fact that I wasn't even gonna post it .... if enough feedback is generated from that whoever uses it I may update this post and provide future updates .... but I will say this ... this is probably the fastest Sense mod I have used ....

Good to see you back JD, I have flashed many of your roms for the tp and tp2 and they always ran great so I have no doubt you will bring the same level of quality over to the evo. I just got to the office so I will flash this later on today sometime.

actually, it started working. I installed google voice search and google search from the market. it seemed to just start working now. oh well, I take luck.

yeah I had removed the google quicksearch and voicesearch thats why you couldn't use that for that but it did work in the browser and the apps its suppose to work in

I misread it as new sense then i tried to nanroid restore and it didnt work..

edit*** please delete, my batttery was too low to restore...sorry I love your work

well thanks for the compliments .... unfortunatly I think that this may be the only version of this you will see. After looking a little further into the OS it seems that HTC has went deep into the customization of android to the point where a "clean" mod is almost impossible, for example the dock settings call on the Carpanel app, the Carpanel app calls for Footprints and Google Maps so I think my next venture is to take the tweaks I learned and just remake the "stock" ROM seeing how I liked it too. So my next posted mod will more than likely be a "stock" mod with JD goodies. I may try another "Clean" mod but it will be later since I got pissed off about having to have services in my ROM that I dont use.

Anyone having an issue downloading from the Market? All other data services work fine.

Could be an issue with Market, but I can't tell...

NM...must have been a Market issue.

freshly flashed this ROM and now my Movies app by flixster and when I try to send a Voice MMS dont work :( the error I get is: "The application Movies (process net.flixster.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
