Its not the rom, since only a couple of people are experiencing this. Have you tried reinstalling the rom. Clearing the caches again. Rebooting. Uninstalling the offending app. I checked on my phone and both the problems you guys are having are not present on my phone.

Re: [ROM] 12/16/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

A question on installation ...

I installed an earlier version of Sprint Lover's and decided to upgrade to 12/16/10.
I don't remember if the bootloader prompt's to clean the cache's as part of the update procedure.

Part of Chris's installation instructions follow ...

"-Your phone will enter bootloader and automatically scan the file and prompt you to update
-Press VOLUME UP the install the update. "

Do I have to clean the cache's before pressing VOLUME UP or not?

Thanks

Yes, you're going to want to clear your cache before you install the update. First wipe data and cache then cache, and lastly dalvik cache.

Swyped from my HTC Evo 4g

I'm using Chris's 12/5 version and just flashed Riptide9 V10 this morning on my phone and my girlfriends, seems to be working fine. If anyone knows of any issues, please let me know.

12/5 is the 3.30. So, yes, Riptide would work.

However, as was posted, Riptide will not work with 3.70 (Chris' 12/16) as the framework has been changed drastically.

Re: [ROM] 12/16/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.70.651.1 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

Thanks dseda86x. I guess what I am asking is will I be offered an opportunity to clear the cache's BEFORE I press the volume up to install the update? Or when I press the volume up am I am given the opportunity then, before the updating starts?
As I said I had already installed a earlier version but I remember nothing about the steps in the procedure.

Thanks

If you are doing the "all-in-one" (I assume you are based on the portion of the instructions you posted) there is no option to do any wipes. Just follow Chris' instructions and you'll be good to go.

The wipe function is in recovery and you can do that before installing the ROM
