How do I use froyo 2.2 android interface instead of HTC Sense? I did google search and looks like you can't use it. I didn't know about this until today that htc has their own interface and android 2.2 froyo has their own interface. I went to applications:running:htcSense:clear default/force stop, Then it loads the HTC screen for 4 seconds and goes back to HTC sense menu.

Aa far as I know this is a sense ui ROM and needs it to run. If you're looking for a non-sense rom you'll wanna look at CM or others, but they are out there

Something weird is happening to my phone. I have a lot of apps installed and Last month I saw my phone reboot automatically itself and today happened again. Reboot automatically itself. What you guys think about this?

Im using an 1800mah battery and im overclocked at 1152 using netarchy 4.2 cds havs more smartass and im getting just about a full day of moderate use with my phone. My battery has also been "calibrated" and id really like to believe that helped me. A few posts back someone mentions how to calibrate your battery, go ahead and give it a shot! Best of luck!

I have been having some random rebooting issues for a while now and have been trying to pin it down. For me it nearly always happens when I am streaming video either from a web site or occasionally while using sling mobile. I have tried several different versions of this ROM going as far back as right after the Froyo release. I have made sure to wipe everything and once flashed I don't install anything, just go right to a web site that contains live video streams, and it always comes right back. I have done some searching online and also have found this is something many people have run into with the EVO. Many of them saying it happens two or three times an hour and that it can actually get caught in a loop where it just reboots continually for 8 to 10 times in a row. I just experienced the loop deal last night where the phone just did a random reboot and then ended up doing it 6 times in a row before it settled down and sat at the idle screen like it should. Many reports have indicated they worked with Sprint service who also couldn't resolve it and that it seems to be a known issue and they end up replacing the phone. After getting the replacement phone they say everything is fine. I'm afraid that is the direction I am going to be forced to head. One thing that does seem to help if you happen to be one of the people who have turned off the always on GPS to conserve battery, if you turn it back on, it does seem to fix the problem in many cases. If anyone knows any more about this I would appreciate any help.

I have the gps on my phone always off. Have you tried using a completely stock rom to see if the reboot issue is still there? If you use the stock rom and stock kernel and still see these issues I would definitely recommend having your phone replaced, because at that point its not the rom it would be some sort of hardware issue. Hope I was of some help, like I said my gps is always off and I never had my phone go into a continuous boot loop. Best of luck to you my friend!

Yes thank you that is exactly what I was thinking of doing, that was why I asked this just one page back.

Hi, does anyone know where I can find a RUU of one of the most recent OTA updates, that has been tweaked for root users but is otherwise just the Sprint official OEM? I think I am going to have to bring my phone into a service center and don't want to give away my rooted status. I have developed an issue where the phone will just randomly reboot during streaming flash video from within the stock browser. I have wiped and flashed several different releases of this ROM, and tried it without making any changes or adding any apps after each fresh load, but it always comes back. I have searched the internet and apparently there is a know rebooting issue with some EVO's. If anyone has any ideas, I would love to resolve this without involving Sprint, but I am pretty sure it seems to be a hardware issue.

Thanks,

Yes I saw that, thank you. But that is the 2.1 version and not capable of playing most video content on the web, so it wouldn't really work well for testing my problem. And unless I am mistaken, it is unrooted and will remove my root status. I am looking for the RUU HTC made available for download when they officially released 2.2, that has been rendered safe for installing on a rooted phone, but otherwise unchanged and not cooked into a custom ROM. Or an RUU of any update since in same safe condition. I think I may have found a source over at XDA.

Thanks
