OK looks like I am sticking with the last SL ROM.. I like it too much to go to GB with the issues I see and stuff missing I really like from SL. honestly, can ayone tell me uif there is a reason to go to GB? It appears the OTA sprint pushed out doesnt have the new sense etc...

I have ben using this form day one andi have no intention going to any new rom or sense..

this is a great rom why change until you have too...

i am old school stick with somethign what is working and working real good..

This is exactly what I did, I cleared dalvik and system cache and then installed the rooted ota. My phone works normally, but I did lose the colored icons in the notification bar and the pull down menu and reboot options menu. Its still sense 1.0 so these may all work if they can be reinstalled. I'm searching for the apks now and will install them to test.

OK, so I installed the rooted OTA on top of Sprint Lovers and I am trying to find some of the apks or zips for some of the Sprint Lovers enhancements. Specifically, looking for the colored taskbar icons, battery percentage mod, and the quick icons from the pull down menu. These are the only things that seem to be missing after the update. Since the GB update still uses sense 1.0 I was thinking these enhancements may still work. If anyone can upload the apk or flashable zips or post a link I will try them out and report back.

did the update add back in the sprint junk apps that some of us might have removed? how exactly did you install it over top? also if you find the apk files for the enhancements, let us know.. I havent gone to GB yet because I hear a lot of things arent working such as voicemail notifications sticking etc...

OK, I tried loading these color icons and they all failed, I also tried installing the 4 in 1 restart and it caused a boot loop. I found Chris's SL color mms and mail flash update and it failed also. The only mod that I have gotten to work with my GB rooted OTA on top of Sprint Lovers is OMGs battery percentage mod.

I am going to search around and see if I can find some color taskbar icons that were specific to GB to see if they work. Overall I am pleased with how my phone is running with the GB OTA but I miss the colored icons and the pull down menu the most. I'll still hunt for these and post progress if I have any.

Also, Netflix hasn't updated their app to work with GB so it will not stream movies and the HBO Go app will not stream movies anymore either.

By the way, this is the rooted ota version I used and I installed the deodexed version and the flashable radios. I only wiped dlavik and system cache and left the data cache alone so any apps that came with sprint lovers and that I had installed would not be erased. I have not experienced any problems with the install not doing a full wipe.

I cant post the link now but someone is working on an updated SL inspired rom on xda. Dont think its up yet but there is a thread for it. For the icons you can try looking at bursts themes over on xda. Not sure if they will work with the stock gingerbread but I am using them with a kingdom port. I think it also makes the notifications clear but i cant remember if that was included with the theme or just the rom i am using. If i get a chance i will post a link for that thread too.
