When you say not lighting up, do you mean not any time at all, or do they seem to work sometimes and not others? I had a hardware V0002 and had to have it replaced via warranty, and they gave me a V0003. My first EVO the buttons would light and stay lit the whole time the display was on. Ever since I got the replacement EVO I noticed that the buttons are only lit some of the time, and I think it has to do with the amount of light the sensor detects. So see if they come on if you are in a dark room.

Now I will also tell you that a friend of mine just got a brand new EVO last weekend and it is a V0004. Now his buttons seem to stay lit all the time again like mine used to, so I really don't know what to tell you. I never found anyone when I was asking that knew for sure if this was a "feature" that HTC tried, or if it is just some EVO's has an issue. If you find out anything for sure, please post it.

Just in case anyone might be interested, jbanks17 over on xda developers has created a cool little android battery icon that works great with the latest Sprintlovers Rom. It was originally for other Roms, but I asked and received a SprintLovers Rom version.

Did anyone see or hear anything about a revision update for our EVO today? A guy I work with who has an EVO got prompted to update his to software version 3.70.651.3. Not sure what it is or what changes it has.

It might include the SMS bug that Google was working on solving.. that would indicate going from .651.1 to .651.3. the small number increment usually indicates a small update.

He is still on the old software. Look closer and you will see he is on 3.30 and hasn't upgraded to 3.70 yet.
