When you boot into the bootloader, it should say S-OFF, if not, you won't be able to flash the rom. I tried to do the one step unrevoked, but that didn't work, so I had to flash unrevoked in recovery, then was able to flash the rom in recovery

Thanks for the replies to my previous question, I found my earlier notes and now know
where to do the cache wipes.

Next problem. When trying to enter the bootloader by holding VOLUME DOWN and pressing POWER the phone goes to the normal first screen not the bootloader.
The volume button works normally.

Any thought?

Did you install the 4 in 1 power off function. If you did there is an option to reboot in the power off menu and under reboot it gives you options to enter recovery or bootloader. Easier than powering down and then doing the volume down thingy.

I installed the all in one update and it worked fine. I tried to flash a new rom after installing this update and now it appears everything installs on the new custom rom but it stops at the boot screen after recovery finishing install the new rom. I then pull out the battery and and hold down power and volume down and it reinstalls the above update again. I try to run my backup and it looks like everything is fine until reboot where it stops at white htc evo screen and goes no further. Please if possible

I think I know what my problem? is. I have ROM Manager on the phone and I can enter RECOVERY that way. I did a Nandroid Backup and now will be cache cleaning and installing 12/16/10. Good luck to me.

Man, this update is battery hungry. After 3 hours of moderate use and I'm down 40% already. Plus Pulse crashes constantly...

Got it upgraded !! My problem was turning off the power INSTEAD of holding the power button depressed until the POWER OFF option came on. Was able to enter the bootloader and ungraded without any problems. Whew !

has anyone here able to overclock using setcpu with this ROM? if so i like to know how? Thanks in advance!
