If you want to update your baseband or WiMax radio to the newest one from the latest OTA update this is the thread for you. Neotelos_com from xda has finally released a fully working img for both. If you want to check out the original thread go here. Enjoy!

UPDATE: Anyone who broke 4G using unrevoked, there is no fix yet, sorry.

I've been getting alot of questions and comments about this...
Why is this different from others?
  • Does not flash Recovery
  • Does not Flash Boot
  • Radio is a FULL image and not a diff

YOU MUST HAVE ALL THE 1.47.651.1 SYSTEM FILES!
You break your 4G being stupid, not my fault.

This is a full IMG, wont overwrite recovery or anything else, just radio or wimax!
Only requirement is to have the new system files, don't even need the last radio.
WiMax == 4g radio
Baseband == Cellular radio

What advantages does this radio provide? I'm new to the android world, coming from WM. What exactly is WiMax? Is it different from Radio? If there is a thread explaining this for Droid Noobs, please point me to it. Thanks!!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Wimax=4G . There is a radio for WIMAX and the baseband radio is for Calls and 3G and text. Reading that thread over at XDA is making my head spin LOL. Have lots to learn with all the terms thrown around.

Wirelessly posted (TP2 Biznitch: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

I tried to post the files before i left for work. The wimax working update is towards the end of the xda thread. Ill post as soon as i get home.

There updated the first post. I flashed this with fresh 0.5.3 and it seemed to mess with the 3g connection. So I wouldn't try this unless you are using a rom with the 1.47.651.1 system files.

I use rom manager and I select the option to flash a rom from sdcard. I select the .zip file and the phone reboots into the recovery to flash it. You can also get into recovery mode by starting the phone on while holding the volume down button.
