I tried doing the hotspot deal on the phone and it said that my pw was wrong? Isnt the feature unlocked?

The Sprint Hotspot can't be unlocked (that we know of) using a ROM. That is something that is controlled on Sprint's network side. Until someone managed to re-write that code (unlikely) it's not going to happen.

But Wireless tether works the same way, and part of the ROM (and can be installed on any Rooted phone).

If you're on 4G it will work until sometime this month for free I believe. Or maybe that already expired, but anyway...on 3G it won't work unless you paid for the service. You can, however, install a wireless tethering app assuming you have root: http://code.google.com/p/android-wif...2_0_5-pre2.apk

I dunno but it looks abandoned, people have other things in the life to take care of at times, but there are a crap load of roms out now and I would hate to say it, but better since they are using the latest and greatest releases and been thru many more bug fixed versions.
