thanks for the tips guys. I did a bump charge this morning and ran the battery calibration app when it got up to 100%. I"ll see if this helps. I'm gonna stick to the stock kernel for now.

Turns out it wasn't the SD. Titanium had been restoring curropted system files which was causing me to have MMS, PRL update, and Profile update failures. After doing a clean install and restoring only the app data the problem was fixed. How the files got corrupted is up for debate. Some say it was titanium the did it, but I am also curious if I did it by trying to restore in 4.5 a backup I made in 5.0. Anyway, that is my report. |

I'm still using 4.6 and it's dependable. I just wish I could change the clock to the Minimal type. I find that easier to read. |

Hello OMJ and fellow evo users. Lately ive noticed my battery dying really quick.. I take my phone off charge at 7:30am, then at about 9:30am im down to about 60% or mid 50s. The phone completely dies at around 1:00pm. Why is that? Before it used to last me atleast 5pm. Im running the same apps (Trillian, Whatsapp, LiveProfile) and sync (weather & email) settings that i have been ever since i got the phone. BTW, im also using SetCPU. With all these settings and programs listed above, i was able to get atleast 10 hours. Sometimes i got 12 or 13 hours. I will do a "clear battery cache" and see if that helps...any other reason for such a decrease? I love your rom btw! Great work!!

I am using OMJ 2.2 ROM. But I have noticed the .wav file from my vonage email doesn't play anymore. I switched to OMJ 2.2 from OMJ 2.3 GB ROM to take advantage of Netflix app. Any fix for .wav file to play?

Good sir... I see that $print will be putting out a patch. Will you be including that in the near future? Also, when is the boot splash/ sound file stored at? I would like to pit my own on there, but have no idea where to look for them. Also, with the current version that you have going what kind of free memory are you seeing? Right now I'm on v. 1.7 and only seeing shot 60-90 meg free...
Ty for the great ROM!!!! |

Just an FYI, They now have root for the Evo 4G Gingerbread with the new bootloader (hboot 2.16). If you're like me and had to get a new Evo because your old one bought the farm, and it came loaded with the hboot 2.16, you were SOL. But now you can be FREE again :) Thanks to Revolutionary for finding the exploit, and thanks to ocnbrze for making this quick rooting guide.

Hi Guys,
I've been running OMJ_EVO_2.2_Froyo_V3.5 for about a year. I just noticed that we are now at V4.6. I think its DeOdexed. Its been a long time. What do I need to do to get to V4.6? Just down load and flash? Here are the other specs: Kernel Version 2.6.32.15-ge2fb08e Build Number: 3.29.651.5 cl252548 PRI Version 1.34_003 PRL Version 60681 Do i need to flash any new radios, wimax, etc? |

The initial flash ran but had a lot of "forced close" so I reverted back to V3.5 then another Nand backup didn't clear davlik or any cache and re-flashed. Everything worked!...al my apps and screens were back as before, and its blazing fast now especially weatherbug photobucket camera 360 etc. I didnt intentionally not clear the caches, just forgot...will this hurt something later? Should I still flash the new radio and wimax at this point? any benefits? Thanks again OMJ! |
