Hey dude, I installed 1.6 and seems to be nice and faster, I´ve tried to install all the patches to get extra shortcuts ( x16, x20, x25) but when I install them I cant get it to work because the last row isto low, I think is because the calendar ramains on the top, aditionally when I install any of those patches the manila lock gets disabled

That's very strange. Are you using the version of Google Maps that comes with the ROM? I am, and I see the Use GPS option still.

In the latest version of Google Maps, they moved the Use GPS option into a submenu, but that one's tower triangulation is broken, so that doesn't seem like it could be your problem either.

Yeah I am using the version that came with the OMJ ROM. The only options that I am getting are: Search; Get Directions; Layers; Latitude; Show Traffic; Satellite View & Clear Map. There is no Use GPS option that I can see.

Can I download and install Googlemaps again on top of this installation or will it eat up more of my memory ??

Have you tried running the CleanRAM option that has been added to the ROM?

If that didn't work, I would suggest clearing storage, flashing back to stock and then re-applying the 1.5 (or 1.6, which is great).

CleanRAM only cleans Program Memory - It does not touch Storage Memory.. I don't know how to keep the storage memory high too..

For cleaning main storage memory, ClearTemp works well to help regain some precious space, plus it's freeware. Other good programs include MemMaid and SKtools, both have quick cleaning options that work great, but neither of these are free. Also, you can use Total Commander (included with OMJ's ROM) or Resco File Explorer (not included payware) to manually go into Application Data\HTC\HTC Album\Cache and delete the large thumbnail and IC_C files. Doing this saves me around 8 to 10 MB's temporarily. I stress "temporarily" as these files will reload next time you use HTC Album to view your thumbnails or images. On that note, I have even gone as far as using the the Resco Photo Manager Manila hack to force Sense to use Resco as much as possible, in order to keep the HTC Album application data cache more manageable. Further, you can also use SKtools to move many programs and folders over to Internal Storage. Sktools will correct the registry and install data during the move for many programs. Please note that you can not move application data to internal storage, but moving everything feasible really helps keep your limited main storage memory from getting critically low.

Best to all,
R

All you have to do is scroll down. There are more options hidden. Just flick the screen up and you will see the Use GPS function.

Thanks Rhacy - I have been installing all my apps into internal storage to save space. I have been doing the HTC Album cache delete and as you said it only works temporarily. I guess there is no way to avoid the small storage memory. I will try out SKtools and see how that works out.

Your welcome chickmagloor. I'm still looking for a solution in regard to getting low on main storage memory with 6.5.3 Sense 2.5 ROMs. I think the only way to achieve it, less leaving out many programs and games I like, would be to cook my own ultra light version with OMJ's Kitchen and cab install everything to internal storage, or maybe try PMD's ROM. PMD's has about 15 MB's extra main storage memory after a flash, plus Manila TV. That said, I really like OMJ's 6.5.3 Sense 2.5 ROM on my spare Diamond. It's been working great for about 10 days now here, and the look and feel is incredibly tasteful. Moreover, I doubt I could cook anything close to as nice myself. Maybe when the Topaz Sense 2.5 is ported over to VGA, it will be a little lighter and help with the limited main storage space. Hoping so at least....

Best to all,
R
