I have been noticing some poor battery performance with the 28005 v1.2 and also with 28008. I have every automatic update off and every type of connection off. The only thing that I have one that may drain some battery is the auto backlight. Anyone else see issues? Since I flashed to 28005 v1.2 last night I have updated my twitter twice, updated weather a few times and used google maps once and now I am down to 1 bar.

I personally love Opera 10. I haven't had a single issue with it. All the thumbnails work for me on the tabs. Yeah, the HTC bookmarks and Opera bookmarks aren't linked, but I just set my bookmarks to the tabs on the home page, just a single click away after opening Opera. I feel it is much faster and responsive than previous versions ever were for me.

The only thing I cannot get to work correctly is the "My Location". I've gotten it to update weather once, and never again. That was on 28002. I can't get it to work on 28005 at all... GPS works great in Google Maps and Bing, but not for the My Location... which means no weather animated home screen :(. Any suggestions?

How do you zoom on the Diamond with Opera 10. I could almost live with the bookmarks thing..if I could figure out how to reliably zoom. I try taping the screen with no luck.

This is a really cool sense mod OMJ... Lockscreen for manila made by Kisja, really cool animations and locks to the homescreen showing missed calls, messages, and sms (I for one missed having the missed calls on the homescreen).. Has a s2unlock feel..

You just double tap to zoom in.. press the zoom back button or double tap again to zoom out. Unfortunately there is no zoom slider (right now), it defaults to 200%, although you can change it in the settings.

On the contrary, OMJ's 21882 is the FIRST 2.5 ROM I have used that the "my location" weather updates every time (On 3G, not just wifi), its really fast, stable and works fine.

if you are using something other than 21882 it could be the "my location" thing everyone runs into, try adding your city and updating that, it should work every time.

i use a script to toggle between 1X and Ev and i've noticed that the auto update doesn't work if the mode is 1X. I have 'my location' and a city added but they don't update unless the phone is in the Ev mode. I wish there was a reg or mod to have it update in 1X mode too. I do a LOT of texting and keeping the phone in Ev mode eats up the battery fast as it has to switch from Ev to 1X every time I send a text.

how is the "my location" weather updating almost instantly while I have an activesync connection? Isn't data supposed to not work while its activesynic?

didnt realize you were switching between the two (or trying to stay in 1x) I have no idea why it does not update in 1X, but you may want to check and see if other builds have the same issue.
