Hey OMJ, what was actually updated in 12/01 28002 V1.2. I didn't see a change log. Thanks.

You could try installing Set Volume over at XDA, it has the look and feel of the HTC Volume control and they just released an updated version.

I recommend holding on to 3.5; I like it the best. 4.0 has landscape support, which is awesome, but as you can see in the pictures here under 'whats new in 4.0' they added a bottom bar below the keys and spacebar that doesn't really add any functionality, it just makes it a little easier for those that didn't understand the shortcuts of sliding and sliding up and down and all that.

they eliminated the up/down shortcut entirely so now numbers are most of the keyboard and only a few punctuation is there. that's okay, but i don't prefer it. the thing that really gets me is just how much extra space it takes up because of that bottom bar. It's probably great for WVGA but i just don't have the space to give up.

There is an option in the settings of touchpal 4 that removes the bottom bar. Also in version 4 you can change the size of the keyboard overall. I believe like 3 separate options. Also in the forums of cootek there is a patch for version 4 that removes the number shortcuts with the punctuation like 3.5. When I first started using 4 coming from 3.5 I didn't like it but if you give it a few days you'll realize that it is much better and quicker. Just my 2 cents.

Can't wait to try it out tonight. Do you know what the actual differences are between 28002-28005-28008.

Also there was a good article in the news section where somebody got a response in an interview from microsoft about the 6.5.X builds. I guess microsoft said it was experimenting making a build for phones with capacitive screens and how they are less accurate and how they needed bigger buttons. Below is the link if anyone is interested in reading it.
