Here's something interesting...just today I have a new photo album called Youtube in Album options on the manila tab. The album contains what looks to be the thumbs from what shows in the YouTube app on the first screen...Most Viewed. It is, just checked. Is it normal for those thumbs to be stored as jpeg's? And does the HTC album have to pick up that folder up as an album? I suppose it looks for anything with pictures in it. Anyone else run into this. Using 23504 build.

Also, a new album called 100MEDIA in a DCIM folder in internal storage. The last 3 pics I took with the phone went to that folder, all others before that went to My Pictures. Not sure why the change???

I am also looking for some kind of dialer skin cabs that work with this dialer set up. i'm not sure why they are so hard to find . mighty mike/rico used to have some and so did k dialers (in glossy and tech) but neither of them work well. they distort the way the keypad looks and works. but any of those might be a good starting point for someone to jump off at...........someone more patient and talanted than me!

Yeah, this happens with all the ezinput 2.x and higher that I have seen. I use the fix posted earlier to get the phone keypad up and running which is what i use. As a side note, the full qwerty will pop up from time to time when your cursor is in a password field but it goes back to phone keypad after.

I have taken a look at the app.reg of the newer ezinputs vs. the older 1.5 versions and see some differences. The problem is that the newer ones don't have a reg key IsSipInputMethod for anything other than the Full Qwerty... The problem is I don't know which CLSID is for "phone keypad" and "compact qwerty" or I think I may be able to get this problem fixed because it bothers the hell out of me too!!! Maybe I'll spend some more time on it.

do you mean like the hex code for the different sips? i'd found those once (in an effort to change the registry to enable the phone pad on juicy8, it did, could also force it to compact qwerty, but in both instances any key press just brought up the particular keys numeric value rather than the letters)
this isn't the same thing i found before but it is a reference part way down the page and its for wm5 so not sure how valid it is anymore i know its not the same 4 number code i was changing before
another older reference

here's somethign that might help these codes look familiar to me

Hey OMJ, here is the xperia x2 task manager I was referring to. It works well with th 6.5.x builds and finally brings multitasking to 6.5.x. NRG uses it in his ROMs which is where I found it but I am switching back to your ROM for stability reasons. I hope that v1.2 is as solid as was v1.1. I'll let you know soon.

I was thinking the same thing. This is the only thing missing from the 6.5.x builds.

OMJ, I put 6.5.3 v1.2 through the tests I can't find any bugs what so ever. Great build. This thing is rock solid and lightning fast. Fastest rom I've flashed so far. We'll see how battery life is after a full day tomorrow. Thanks for all the hard work.

No i use this reg...
HKLM\Software\HTC\ezsip
change "BioToShowMenu" DWORD=1 (this will force the sip menu so you can change to phone keypad) (the dword defaults back to 0 but the phone keypad stays)

And yes it functions properly with ABC, and XT9

As far as the other, no i didn't mean HEX Code... Here's what i was talking about...

This is a part of the app.reg for the SIP - EzInput 1.5.32437.0 EXT

Look at the parts i bolded, these are present in the 1.5 version of ezinput and why they show up on the sip menu. The problem with the 2.x and newer ezinput is that these regs aren't present in the app.reg

Here is part of the 2.x app.reg...

So they changed something and the problem is that in the CLSIDs above, I don't know which ones (if any) are tied to the "Phone Keypad" and "Compact QWERTY" in order to enable IsSIPInputMethod=1. As you see in the 1.5 version you can tell which CLSID is associated with each keyboard.

If you trial and error it and one of them work let me know

Hope that helps

BTW, I'm a CR2 dirver for ASA, how bout you?
