Ok, 28002 v1.2 has been repackaged & uploaded...

WM 6.5.3 28002 v1.2
(last updated 12/1)

DOWNLOAD

fyi---I just noticed a typo in the reg settings for the updated messaging

Code:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
; Messages Font Size ( 0 - 8 )
"People.Message.FontSize"==dword:00000002

because of the 2 == the reg key is there, but is set to 0 instead of 2. I think 0 sets the font to the smallest size, just wanted to point it out for those flashing this latest version 1.2....I fixed it in the cab

Hi guys.. I recently switched over to this rom.. I really like it.... But I'm experiencing a lot of lagging when I try to REPLY to any text messages that come in. I have to wait for a while for the curser to blink in the message screen. Any fixes out there? Anyone else having the same problem? PLease help!

The lag is caused by the HTC messaging client trying to load all your messages to that page. The new messaging fix on 28002 1.2 should take care of that. If you are still on the older ROM version with the HTC messaging client i would recommend updating.

confirmed ;) default is opera 10..
As for your cache question, I think right now its not configurable*, its happens to be wherever you installed opera. It is possible to install Opera on your storage device if you want too(with then end result being your cache is located on your storage device too).. I'm sure if you can find one here or on XDA. If there is not I can cab it up as I am sure you are not the only one asking that question.

Thank You for your reply. I have the cab that OMJ uses it works fine when installed on the storage card but the newer versions of the ROM have opera built in the EXT so you cant uninstall it. Its not a big problem i can change two options and add /Internal Storage in the beginning of the cache folders. Updating to today's 1.2 version.

Damn you are fast on these stuff cant wait to update. I kinda hated the old messaging coz how long it takes to load all the messages to one page. Its not functional when you text like 100 messages a day. Thank You again for all your support to the community. I agree with who ever told you to have a donate button atleast i can buy you a shot over the web. :drunken:

which one? I have 4 posted...on my 28002, not seeing any lag

I experience the lag on the 11/23 update, which was the 28002 i believe. I have not yet updated to the 11/30 update... would this alleviate the problem?

no, you dont have to do anything....I confirmed it's just setting the default font size....with the typo the reg key is set to 0 meaning it's just a smaller size font, but you can easily change to whatever size looks good to use via the messaging app

1) disable sense
2) delete \Windows\ManilaFull.xml
3) install the cab
4) reboot, just to be safe
5) enable sense

Worked like a charm. Thank you again for going the extra mile for providing all this wonderful capability. Wish there is something more substantial I could do than just saying thx.
