When you get to that list of included apps, could you also include a screenshot or description of what available memory after flash?

I've just flashed this ROM. It's my first attempt at this hobby and I'm impressed with how much more responsive the phone became!

The phone still gets hot when surfing the net...Not sure if this is normal for the Diamond as I just got this phone.

Will the battery life improve?

Could you guys tell me how ( or point me to a thread) to get and install the ringtones from the original Sprint ROM? Does this ROM has Sprint Picture Mail?

If I want to try another ROM in the future, do I just flash it on top of this one or there's another way?

Thanks to OMJ for making this possible!

Overheating is normal but was much worse in the beginning

Battery life varies dependent on the ROM you are using.

You can just flash over top of your current ROM. As of late though it has been suggested that you flash to SHIPPED first before flashing to a new ROM, just to clean out all the stuff from the previous rom.

Thanks kbussen!

When you say shipped ROM, could I just get the shipped ROM for Sprint from HTC site and flash it or get a download from here and use it? The HTC site has the ROM I had but asks to enter the Serial from the device before dowload..

Also could you point to ways to customize OMJ's ROM using different Rings and Wallpapers, I also can't find Picture mail on it, how can I add that?

Sorry about the newbe Qs..If not allowed please delete Mods!

Thanks again!

Go here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062 and scroll down til you see Sprint SHIPPED ROM. Download, unrar, and just run the exe.

I am using my own custom rom so I am not familiar with what OMJ is using in his rom, so i cannot assist too well with wallpapers. Rings on the other hand are a bit simpler. If you want to save space, put all of your rings in the root of your internal storage, do not put them in a folder or they will not show up.

For picmail, use arcsoft. Ill have to search for a link for you.

Here is the link to the newest arcsoft with sprint settings. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=74326

Thanks a lot for your help on this kbussen,

The link for arcsoft shows it as a CAB file, I have no idea how to apply that to the ROM/phone.. How do one uses a CAB file? With the Sprint ROM when looking at a picture it gives the option of sending with Picture Mail which is a Service included with my Plan. Will the arcsoft work the same?

I've downloaded the shipped ROM and will have that ready for reflashing before going to another ROM.

Bare with me as I'm learning this whole thing as I go :)

I'll appreciate any suggestion as to improve performance and speed on my Diamond.

Thanks again!

If doing this from your computer. Connect your phone with active sync. Open the file explorer on your phone via active sync, navigate to your internal storage and just drag the .cab file to your internal storage from where ever you downloaded it to on your computer. Then just navigate to the internal storage via the file explorer on your device and just click on the .cab. Follow the process.

So as to not muddy up OMJs thread. Please PM me with any additional questions.

Battery life should be better than the stock rom, but it really depends on your usage.

For Sprint PictureMail, click on Start/System Tools/Sprint Picture Mail....that will install it. You may also need to update your profile by going to start/settings/system/update profile.

Thanks for the reply! OK, so I tried turning on the location sevices. Then I went to quick GPS and it keeps telling me that location is off. Everytime I go back to settings it tells me that location is on... I also cant get a signal in google maps or sprint Telenav. Maybe it's my hardware... At any rate. The ROM is Awesome! I just wish I could get my GPS working on it. ;-)

I just tested....turned location on, opened quickgps, did the download, then opened google maps, use gps...took about 30 secs since it was the 1st time, but got a lock no problem. I guess it's possible it could be your hardware, but try soft resetting or worse case re-flash stock rom , then my rom again.

It's tempting but I'm not a big fan of Tachi because it seems to lock up and run down the battery always connecting to the EVDO/1x data in the background which I think it is the GPS location updating thing. Maybe if you cooked a Titanium only ROM with the stock dialer that comes with the Diamond. :D

sure I can do a Titanium only w/ stock dialer.....I like the stock dialer too, but I love the 6.5 Lock & it conflicts w/ the stock dialer when receiving calls.

you want the stock panels, or the larger ones?

Thanks for the great ROM, OMJ! It's been a long time, but still dependably stable. I'm liking this one a lot. I do have a question for you though. I like to re-organize my start menu and put things into separate folders (internet, utilities, etc.); however, when I moved most of the icons off the main /windows/start menu/programs folder, a few icons still show up on the main screen. it's odd. they don't show up when browsing via the file explorer.

the icons are: opera, task manager, facebook, youtube, and comm manager

i even tried moving the opera back from my internet folder to the main one, and instead of overwriting the pre-existing one, the phone shows two opera links. weird. any ideas on how to fix this?

thanks in advance!

I have also uploaded v2.4, which added Voice Command & the new app Tell Me (pretty Cool)

yes, that's odd, I will have to look into that.....so you move those icons into a subfolder, then they re-appear?

yes, that's odd, I will have to look into that.....so you move those icons into a subfolder, then they re-appear?

yup, exactly. not all of the shortcuts. just the ones i mentioned. i figured the start menu wasn't refreshing, so i did a soft reset. no luck. then i thought, "let me copy opera back into the main menu, it'll overwrite the one that is refusing to move, and then i'll try moving it again." instead, i ended up with two copies of the opera shortcut.

oh, one more thing. i tried using reSTART, thinking maybe there was an option in there to delete a shortcut as opposed to just moving them or changing the icons, and the shortcuts i mentioned before did not even show up in the list (within reSTART). btw, i did flash shipped, flash this rom, do a clear storage. maybe i'll give 2.4 a shot this weekend and see if that works better. then again, i might give the hero a look this weekend too. decisions, decisions...

anyway, thanks for looking into this!
