I will probably experiment with using a backup next time, but I needed a clean flash this time.

You might want to flash back to the Sprint "shipped" rom before flashing. That will give you a really clean beginning ...

Thanks, I did do that this time, but I'll admit I haven't always. This is the first time had serious issues so I figured the old "flash to stock" first was in order.

Good plan, that's how it seems to work. You go along and everything is fine ... then all of a sudden. Best to just incorporate it into your routine when flashing a new rom. It only takes a couple of minutes, but can save lots of frustration in the long run.

also, I just starting using this auto lock app, works great!

First of all, I love this ROM. Manila 2.1 is great, the scrolling is super smooth, its visually pleasing; a great change from MightyMike's 6.1 ROM which I had been using over the past few months. I do have a couple of questions / issues. I flashed back to sprint shipped, flashed OMJ followed by a hard reset.

1. How did you get weather to appear on your calendar?
2. Do you have any idea why I can't configure hotmail through the windows live program?
3. TellMe does a great job of transcribing the text messages but the messages do not send. I get "Error Code 96". Are you able to send text messages with TellMe on Sprint?
4. Bing will not load on the 11/3 Release but did work on the 10/29 Release. On startup, Bing says that it requires .net compact framework 2.0. Is there a conflict with net cf 3.5 on the 11/3 release?

Aside from these issues I love the work you have put into this ROM. Any help or assistance is greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, and good luck working with Manila 2.5! Thanks very much.

Just flashed to shipped, flashed 2.4 and customized away. Looking good! Always wanted to try your roms but I was never that brave in my vogue days. Really glad you made to to a diamond. Based on your longevity with the vogue, hopefully you'll be giving us great roms for a while to come!!! A warm welcome to the cdma diamond forums!!!

Tried tell me and it seems good, unfortunately, it's not a hands free application like it should be, you have to hit speak and send and who knows what else (just like bing). I'd like to use it with my headset and use the headdset button for the activation. Any way to do that?

OMJ has been using and cooking roms for the Diamond ever since it was released, last year. A few months ago, he took a well deserved rest from cooking after a family tragedy. His earlier Diamond roms were classic and some of the very best.

Re: OMJ's Custom ROM | WM 6.5 / 6.5.1 | 21870 / 23504 | Manila 2.1 | 11/07/09 |

I had to take a break from manila 2.5 1920, really frustrating me ](*,)

So I added/uploaded WM 6.5.1 23504....I'm really liking the 6.5.1 OS, I find it easier to navigate with the buttons on the bottom.

there are a couple bugs:

- during customizations, the screen will disappear, but it is still running, and will reset when done.

- on bootup, the notification menu pops up.....just close it.

sorry, no titanium updates yet.....does anyone want a titanium only 6.5.1 rom?

Actually, I only use the 6.5.1 builds when I use Manila. The changed bottom bar/buttons make it necessary to hack SpbMS3.5, which is what I use when I'm NOT using Manila.

BTW, your new ROMs look great and seem to be getting great "reviews". Keep up the good work.
