Awesome! Can't wait to try it out :)

I know the Opera situation has been noted a couple pages back, but i want to touch on my experiences in the last week.

I flashed to 1.7 a couple of days before 1.9 came out and loved it. however my phone broke.. $120 dollars and 24 hours later i got my replacement. After activation i unlocked and flashed straight to 1.9. After realizing that there was so many problems with texting i came back to 1.7. Now, in 1.7 on my old phone I never had a problem downloading to the internal storage when using opera. On my new phone after using 1.9 then going back to 1.7 i cannot download at all to be honest. I was just trying to dl the facebook cab from microsoft's website and it took me to a google page saying something about "space age technology thats not been adapted for your phone" Ive gotten this trying to get other cabs too.

SO, should i flash back to shipped then back to 1.7 with a hard reset in there?

BTW Gadget, your ROM is FABULOUS. I cant wait to see it without the messaging client and showcase!

I think the problem is the new Opera versions create an internal storage folder in device memory rather than allowing you to save directly to internal storage. I would flash back to shipped and Gadget mentioned a new version is coming out. He may revert back to another version of Opera, or you can install another version post flash. Opera 15613 works well as do many other 9.5 versions. Personally I would just leave opera out, and that way people can install the one of their choice but I will roll with whatever GF decides.

I really like the way the new opera in 1.9 worked. but the one in 1.7 is just fine too. Ive not really cared either way. I just hate IE.

If the internal storage folder in device memory is the root problem, could i flash to shipped, deleted that folder, then flash to 1.7 again?
**EDIT*** i never had the problem in 1.7

Anyway ill probably wait until he releases the new one.

sure. just delete the internal storage folder in device memory. just make sure you delete this one and not the internal storage :) it wont hurt anything. Good luck.

I'll be going back to Opera 9.5 for the public release. I really like 9.7 and they have made a lot of improvemenmts to the latest version, but not being able to put the cache and downloads onto the Internal Storage drives me nuts. I'll also be putting Import IE Faves back into the customizations to deal with bookmarks for Opera...
