Re: 10-1 | rom | wm 6.5 | Rhodium 2.1 || GadgetROM v1.5 || 21859 ||Sprint, Telus & Al

after using it for a week now, its still running great! I love it. WAY better than stock.

The only real issues I have is the screen shutting off during a call regardless of what I tell Diamond Tweak, that stupid white square that keeps showing up under the sprint logo, one of the towns doesnt work in the weather tab, and theres a little yellow exclamation point showing up at the top of the screen that I cant seem to click on or figure out.

But seriously, if thats all I have to complain about, thats nothing. It hasnt frozen, crashed, I love the graphics and the finger keyboard.

After flashing this Rom and installing a few programs I can't live without( Touchpal,Resco Explorer, Opera Mini, and Garmin Mobile.) When I open the Start Menu it looks like this. After a soft reset the start menu looks normal, but after opening programs and reopening start menu the icons never go away, If I scroll then it permanently looks like this when you open Start Menu. No Idea what could be causing this? Other than this The Rom is Running Great!

this is usually caused by adding another 6.5 theme or changing themes at start>settings>personal>today. you need to go there and try another theme or switch back to the original one but if you didn't change them I am confused why its doing this to you. also, its helpful if you turn off tf3d first then switch back themes.

I've just downloaded this and flashed it to my phone (surprised myself because I am not that great with computers). Looks amazing.
What can I install to this ROM? There was a slide to unlock program called s2u2 that I had previously, can I install that again? It basically locked the screen and you have to slide a bar to unlock the screen.

If there are limitations to what I can install, how do I know which ones I can use?

Thanks

hey Homer, You can install s2u2 if you like. Most apps that you used previously should work good on this rom assuming you are switching over from 6.1. One thing though, this rom does not have titanium installed so you shouldn't try installing titanium speciific cabs like chome configurator, titanium weather, etc. Gadget made this rom with tf3d as the primary theme. Good luck. You certainly picked a winner here :)

Thanks for the fast response. I'm playing with the phone now. Really like it so far. I'm not sure what I had before, it was stock from Sprint. Sounds like I can just install cabs that are for tf3d.

Any good ones you recommend? I installed the springnav, but it requires me to login. Guess it's not free?

I noticed one thing when clicking on a url in an email, it does not open a webpage. I just noticed this and do not recall if it did open before or was this ability lost?

I would probably steer clear of any tf3d cabs since Gadget already has this setup with the latest tf2.1. He has bg4all enabled so you can pick different wallpapers if you like. Panoramic tf2.1 can be installed though if you want to try that. as for cabs. not sure since this is all preference. Gadget has a good bit already loaded on this rom as well. Regarding the email not opening web links, this does appear to be a bug. Gadget probably knows about it but it probably just requires the opera association fix to work. there's a cab floating around for it. this will also fix issues with links opening up in rss hub or other rss reader apps.

bh4all enabled? I think I am missing documentation to read what is available on this ROM. I'm excited to see what else Gadget put in here. So far so good. Alot zippier
