i agree, thats what my issue is. it supposedly works well with 2.1 but i been having weird probs with tachi. Some have excluded it in the name of stability like i have gotten rid of the new windows messaging client. I guess once i drop my titanium only rom this weekend i will have my decision made. it will consist of some of the great groove and calku, some mystery and a finish of smiznith...lol

I will drop it this weekend, look out for it

For those who want to give it a try, i just made a 23088 Manila 2.5 rom, Thanks go to OMJ for his sense and kitchen set up, and calku for his kitchen base that i was able to tweak with ease! indagroove, man your awesome for all your help as well.

thanks buddy! How do you like this sys with 2.5? I have been sticking with com2 (2.5) releases to date but would be interested in this. Also, does the task manager work on this rom, upper right hand corner to close apps? Thanks man!

i prefer 23088 because of the finger friendly menus..lol also the task manager works just fine for me, just hold down the clock for a few seconds and WHAM! its good!

I think i will be keeping up with 2.5 for a while..... it rocks

Ok got her all flashed up. very good thus far. Only problem I had was the no ring issue. but I converted some of the ringtones to wav files and dropped them in Device>Windows>Rings and this worked. it doubled up a couple that are in there now that are wma format but managed to find the right ones :) will keep testing.

Ok, testing still but here a synopsis:

Internet works (IE and Opera), Texting works in HTC Messaging client), phone rings with fix mentioned above, Sense weather and location works, email setup works for outlook.

So far cannot get windows live to setup at all. just locks up but this has been buggy no matter what rom I tried. using Opera mini to retrieve hotmail/messenger for now.

Nice taskbar Smiznith! nice change of pace :) I installed a couple cabs to remove the top bar and make the bottom slider transparent. for me it just makes the screen look bigger plus with the quicklink being hidden now it looks better. pics attached. Very nice rom. I gonna test this for a while. ** before someone asks, I did test mms through the windows sms/mms and it worked. I virtually never use mms but wanted to add that in.

thanks. man. actually I installed via cab but it didnt work.

edit: another thing I noticed is I cant change the wallpaper anymore. it wont open album just loops back to touchflo.

Installed 3.0 and it seems to be working. I haven't noticed any bugs yet, but I've used it in limited fasion.

Everything is pretty laggy/slow, I wonder if using the Official 6.5 release over a 6.5.1 wouldn't make a nice performance improvement. I too prefer the 6.5.1 layout, but performance trumps all for me.

*Activesync works. (Exchange 2003)
*Opera works (went to Facebook and Fandango)
*Text and Email works.
- When using autocomplete in texting, it pulls up people with emails, so something off there (I think it's been that way with this new messaging client)
*My Location ACTUALLY works, first time it's ever worked for me, so yay for that.

I'll use it probably through tomorrow, but I doubt I'll keep it, the performance just isn't there, I hate waiting for my phone to do something, I need BAM BAM BAM get stuff done!

Good work though! If I find any glaring issues over the next day, I'll be sure to report back.

It's a bummer that the performance is not there. What's the pagepool set to? Are you using Rhodium dialer with your build?

thanks for the feedback. autocomplete has been acting up on me all day. trying to find a fix now, and the slow performance may be the page pool, will try that tonight also, hopefully a new release tomorrow afternoon before game times!



I think the problem is the page pool. I need to check and see what it is at right now. (i think it is at 24, but this isnt 24 speed)

Hi Smiznith, what tsk are you using a your base? I like the black theme but also that is doesnt cover up the bottom 6.5.1 menu buttons. not sure if that makes sense :)

i have officially learned my lesson with messing with tsk files. i use calku's default one for now, atleast until i figure out how to modify one without dealing with UI issues....

Should work fine on Sprint, I'm on Telus but all the connections info state Sprint so I'd assume the guts are from Sprint so you shouldn't have a problem.

I'd have to say it's a bit sluggish on my Diamond and I can't seem to get rid of the "My Location" on the today screen but otherwise it's pretty great.

Is it like the one I was having, were you could only change it once?

If so I found out what was causing it, the Album. Calkulins v4.2 kitchen has a album that messes that up, try getting his Album from v4.1.

Yeah, I think it was the SYS that was causing it because when I switch from 21876 to 28002, that issue was solved.

so i removed the htc messaging client, now using the stock windows but now i got that stupid notification that a message was sent, where do i put that in the tweaks to remove it?

I like your ROM a lot. Gives me lots of available memory. I am missing a few things, such as PIM_Backup, flipit, QuickGPS, but those can be loaded with cab files. However, I can't run NFS_Undercover - g-sensor version - at all. I get a memory error. It works fine on other ROMS (i.e. OMJs ROMs.) Is it possible to fix that problem? I would prefer your ROM over others, if not for the NFS error.
