Hey Smiznith. Just wanted to let you know I flashed the titanium release last night. so far so good. Didn't have much time to play with it yet but looks good. Best splash screen I have seen IMO! well....maybe in inclusion of vanilla ice would have been better, just kidding!

loaded everything up and only thing thus far that didn't work is setting>system.longpressendkey. it never opens to change this setting. not a biggie since it's set to lock the phone anyway but wanted to let you know. Also, you do not have htc album linked to the titanium pics menu, once again nothing to lose sleep over. Thanks and I will report back later on.

I got that error as well. You can extract the exe to a folder and it works. If you do so and in the folder select Custom_RUU and nothing happens, then copy and past another Custom_RUU from another rom folder that you know works. This worked for me. good luck.

it was approx 51mb. your download wasn't bad because I experiencing the exact same error message. just right click and extract the exe to folder and it should work. Do you use winrar? good luck.

Checked on that longpressendkey.... Calku's new oem has it under buttons settings (settings>personal>buttons), last tab. Thats how you change it now.

photos takes you to photos, under the getting started widget, scroll over the albums, and it takes you to albums, but i will work on a fix that will link it to photos. Thanks again!

Not sure why tachi isnt installing. I played with it on mine and it did the same.. It may need to be cooked in in order to work.. I can whip one up for you if you like...

If it was as easy as dropping application folders into the OEM folder... and finding whatever ROM and SYS you want from whoever's kitchen and putting it in there... then it'd be easy.

Another thing that kicks my arse is trying to capture registry settings. I see folks OEMize their tweaks... but then I'm lost as to what they tweaked and how to add it to my frankenkitchen. :-|

Well actually it is.. This is what i do:

Since mystery's was the easiest kitchen to mod, i took his and made it my base... I removed his sys and rom, and got my oem's from calku's latest kitchens..

I take reeseboy's or calku's sys and rom and add it to the kitchen (depending on which one i want) and i use cap'n chronic's 23001 sys as my guide for deleting bloatware (if you notice solitare and bubble breaker are missing.. there are a few more useless files missing also which gives yields more memory)

make sure cprog (and another file, but i cant remember what it is cause im at work) is located either in the sys as a directory or in your OEMdrivers as a file. then your good!

Last night, using your ROM as inspiration, I took Mystery's ROM4 Kitchen... removed his ROM and SYS, added Calcu's 23009 ROM and SYS, and built it as is. I had to delete some .tsk and ShowacoTitaniumWeather files because they were inexplicably duplicates that were erroring out BuildOS. Anyways... it worked.

I'm still baffled about resgistry tweaks and any other tweaks. And the SYS folder contents are a complete puzzle. There's a good learning curve involved in this. I know Groove used to post his reg edits but I don't think he does anymore.

On a side note... I compared Mystery's OEM app version and even though his kitchen was dated July 1st most of them are still teh most recent (and in some cases... MORE recent) than some current Kitchens have.

tell me about it! i am still uncertain about some of the reg tweaks.. eventually i want to learn how to do them but right now my patience hardly exist so i just port over mystery's and calku's.

yeah there isnt many updates at all lately..

Re: [ROM] [07.24.09] icedOWTrom [Builds 23009 & 21921] 6.5 Rhodium

Smiznith, I tried your rom on my Alltel Diamond. It's a nice rom, has exactly what I was looking for (Rhodium, WM6.5, built in CleanRam, PIM, etc). I have major probs though and had to recover from an unbootable phone. For the short time it was able to boot up, I couldn't get to the phone dialer, going to the People screen caused TF3D to immediately restart, the call log freezes the device, and a few other less significant issues. I went from MightyRom6 back to stock Alltel, cleared storage, then installed your rom. Most of those issues don't seem to be things that would be caused by a Sprint vs. Alltel vs. whatever phone, but thought I would share my experience in case it helps.

I might try again with a later release because I gotta tell you, your rom was the best I've tried thus far, feature wise.

BTW this was with the 21921 build

Interesting, i think it may be an alltel thing. I have been running the 21921 build 2 weeks, not a single real issue besides the typical rhodium bugs...

ill work on that when the new sys are released.. not hearing good feedback on 23016, or 21935,36

Thanks for the latest ROM. I just updated today, and like it very much. But there are still some bugs. On the People menu, I can't call from the phone icon. In the detail contact, I still can't use "action" to call mobile. I hope you can fix these problems. Besides, MSN messenger seems not to work. Finally, can I disable the clock time on the right top? because it stack with the button. Anyway, thanks for the great Rom.

Hi Smiznith! Good to see you back in the kitchen man. I am trying out the latest and greatest 23064. will report back. thanks again.

edit; it's going well, there are a couple ui related bugs that I've noticed but its running well. I noticed the taskbar seems to be slightly off with the bottom bar taking a little sliver off the bottom away. Also, tf programs menu is a bit off on the bottom but this is very common. I used the 4 program across cab and it looks better. also the htc task manager is not hidden behind the clock which is useful to close apps. I havent tried the com3 branch much so I'm not sure if this can be done like the 234xx roms. will keep playing around with it and let you know. Thanks again for this.

Yeah I have been playing with the com3 lately cant figure out that UI issue. Its only in 23064 thats it. I found that Task manager also, seems like it only wants to work some of the time. working on the fix now.

I'm also seeing the offset UI on 23420. Bonsai had a cab to fix that in his thread.

I ran into some issues when trying to change the keyboard. The UI became messed up, and the keyboard just disappeared and couldn't be restored. Similar problem to Juicy's.

delete your youtube folder in your internal storage, then reflash... mine works just fine

I am thinking of excluding tachi in my next build. I hate having to double tap talk to make a call, and been having a few issues where i call people on accident with no way of hanging the phone up unless i remove the battery..... whats the general consensus?

this is a tough one man. I think it works well with TF 2.1 but like you said has it's quirks. I mistakenly cooked in the standard s2a htc dialer in calcu kitchen with tf2.1 and the phone wouldnt ring. lol. I guess the only other solution is using a skinned wm6.5 dialer but it looks pretty bland.
