Hey, just flashed your latest manilla rom. Very nice! Nice icons and tons of space, really liking it alot. Also the task manager works perfect, showcase is nicer looking but freezes closing certain apps. The only things thus far I noticed is if you hit the clock twice the 6.5.1 taskbar doesnt show on my screen. and some of the icons are not accurate in certain screens like email tab but not a huge deal. Just wanted to say thanks.

Hi, sorry I just flashed shipped (not that I didn't love the rom. just that i am having data issue with Sprint and was calling them to have the reset me on the system and may have to stop by the store...long story but my data at work has been dead for a week and I've been fighting with them to fix it.ugh.. may end up switching carriers since they have been ridicilous to deal with)
Anyway, showcase is cool but it does freeze and I heard it's a none issue. for example if you load up jbed or kinoma and try to close out of them, showcase will not open and you end up having to either open the task manager in Start>settings>system>task manager to close them or restart. they will stay open and take up memory if not. your task manager works perfect though, albeit not as fancy as showcase but works flawlessly. the icons I am referring to are the ones if you hit the clock twice, first will bring up the task manager, the second tap usually brings up the 6.5.1 icons for volume, etc. mine is blank. pic attached.

The email icons I am referrring to are the one ones that on the bottom if you open the inbox. the reply and delete icons are not correct, one is just an X icon and the other is looks like a table(sorry I can flash later to show pics). Calcu fixed this in his latest kitchen and noted this in the release notes " Fixed missing phone/inbox icons on 23053/23414" I can post pics of the Calcu rom I just cooked up with the correct icons if this helps later on.

ah bummer, who are you planning on switching too?
Alright im going to see how showcase is i might include it if it seems to work good enough. For some reason gadgetfreak's taskbar messes up the taskbar icons when you tap on it, not sure why.
Ah alright ill have to see what he changed

Here are a couple pics(Calcu rom) from the email inbox view and phone icons view. Now I'm not sure if the icons are much different but I wanted you to see them. Also I noticed that the top bar I mentioned in the earlier post is no longer active in Calcu's rom or its just not opening for me. He may have removed it to integrate the showcase task manager but not sure. yeah, good old Sprint.. still not fixing the problem, I've spent almost 4 hrs now between trip to sprint store, calling tech support, etc. I told them there's an outage but whatever. If this continues, I will be dropping them and moving to Verizon most likely or ATT. would prefer to stay CDMA since I like it here alot but hopefully things can get worked out with Sprint sooner than later. right now my data speeds at work are 18kbs!! with ev 3 bars?? told them I was getting 1100 avg before that but whatever. lol. By the way, great news on the Leo project! Thanks again.

Thanks man! Overclock really depends on the phone, some phones it works great, others it doesnt ever start, and some it randomly works/randomly freezes. I hope no2chem figures it out soon!

What does the overclock actually do that we would want or need to use it?

It speeds your phone up a lot! It makes the processor run at 764MHz instead of 528. Everything runs much smoother.
