Every rom has bugs and its up to you to find the rom that has a combination of bugs you can live with. I couldn't live with the intermittent freezing so I'm back on an OMJ rom at the moment.

New roms are sense 2.1! Great work NRG. I see you managed to get animated weather on the homescreen as well. I thought that wasnt part of sense 2.1 but none the less, running very well thus far. will report back.

update: texting works, calling out works, dialing in (ringer works), so far so good. animated weather worked once but can't seem to get it running again. funny stuff

My MMS isn't working, do I need to install a separate cab?

and if I do can someone help by posting one that's worked for them? thanks! I love these 2.5 roms (not the dusk tho, too cramped looking)

I'm having issues with MMS. I dont think its supported with this ROM?

i'm having the problem with the dusk 28014 rom where you try to send a sms and it only shows email addresses.. was there a fix for this?

For anyone having problems with laggy keyboard on the latest ROM, I recommend the Nov 27th build. That one was very fast and very solid with no lags.

Also, I think the Swype keyboard tends to be more reliable than the default Hero style keyboard

I'm currently on the Dec 17th one with Sense 2.5, Xmas Theme, and I find that the whole thing is faster (including Sense), but the default keyboard tends to lag. It's still very usable though.

yeah, I'm pretty sure that MMS isn't working on Dec 17th roms.

also, has anyone else had problems with Google Maps not being able to tap into cell tower-ID myLocation tracking? This is important to me because Latitude can use it in the background as opposed to using GPS which drains a ton of power.

Also is anyone else experiencing choppy Evdo connections?

Things that are gone that I miss:

when you SMS and type someone's name, their contact number appears, now it's their email address.

The action menu on the homescreen.

for the action menu u can just change it using diamond tweak, which i think is included and if not, just download it.
for the sms thing, i'm sure u can change the settings on that somewhere, but not really sure exactly where it is. ill let u know when i find it, but try searching some settings in the phone yourself.

if im not wrong i think nrg left the originla 2.5 message tab, so mms doesnt work thorough it but should work through the wm message. try installing arcsoft yourself and it should work, or if u on sprint picture mail should also work.
