Re: 8/12/09 - ROM | Kitchen | SYS - WM 6.5 23025,21828 - Generic | All Carriers -

Wow dude, another great job! What do you think of these over 23016? People are already asking me to get 23025. Is it the finger friendly version or the prior?

Thanks again,

-Scott

23025 is finger friendly for sure. The start menu and phone scrolling bugs have been fixed, tho you cannot use htc task manager or any htc dialer.

21840 is the older style. It seems to run pretty quick and very stable...

So basically pick your poison

yaa unfortunatly, as much as i LOVE the finger friendly look. Right now its only for looks. I dnno if someone else can prove me wrong on this one, but im a big fast texter and i use the phone keypad. One thing i noticed about this SYS is that you need to type slower than usuall and press down fairly hard. If you dont it will vibrate, but will not show up on the screen. Not sure if this is soemthing new MS is trying to incooperate to improve texting i dnno.

Going back to the older style guys, bout to cook a new one...NEED your advice. What SYS do you think is the most stable and most reliable for 6.5 for everyday use? You mentioned this other build is pretty good, better than say 23016???

If you don't like the finger-friendly crap and prefer the way the battery/clock displayed before, then I would say go with 21840. I started the mass upload just a few minutes ago, but the 21840 diamond sys is the first one to upload so it should be there in 20 minutes or so. The rest will take an hour, so I won't be posting links in the first page until I get back from lunch (in a couple hours). But here is the link to the mediafire folder its getting uploaded to - http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=a...e6ba49b5870170

You will want the 21840.rar file for the diamond sys.

I like the idea of the new Sys, but wanted to add the Gen.y Manila from XDA. How do I go about adding that? Simply dropping the folders into OEM doesn't give it to me.

Also, took a quick stab at cooking myself w/ the new sys, and somehow missed having a Task Manager on the title bar? Not sure how that works!?!
