Crap! Wish I could remember exactly where that was at.

I think it suppose to be under settings>system>power>backlight and there suppose to be another check box under "Auto adjust backlight" but I believe MR5 does not include that option line. if my memory serves me correctly, some roms have that line and some don't.

I really hope you can fix the ActiveSync/WMDC issue, I tether my phone so this is a must have for me. I've tried your roms and I must say they are snappy and responsive, but I've had to settle for other roms due to AS/WMDC issues. I can workaround it by unticking the faster rate but of course I'm unable to take advantage of EVDO speeds. Keep up the good cookin' Mike
