Here's what I did:

1. Installed the Widcomm bluetooth driver on my pc: http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php

2. Connected my USB-less phone to my PC via bluetooth

3. Transferred my stock rom, renamed to DIAMIMG.nbh to the root of Internal Storage

4. Held "Power+VolumeDown+Back" and pressed and held the reset button with my stylus.

5. It entered the bootloader and I had to press the power button to get it to flash after that. Worked like a charm. Stock ROM installed, USB came back.

you can enter the BootLoader at any time by pressing Power+VolumeDown and holding down Reset until it appears.

Then just plug your phone in and flash as normal, ActiveSync dosent need to recognize it

couple questions before i go to work, ive seen the word tf3d2 flying around this site. is that what MR5 has? will a touch flo config work with this rom?

also, on the home screen, pictures tab, all that show up are the avatars and other pre loaded stuff, anyway to set int storage to show up in that tab?

last, can you change tabs?

any help is much appreciated

NOTE - Mighty, your roms are AMAZING. this last 6.9.09 update for diamond is probably the best rom you've created yet. keep up the good work.

Just a note on the Bootloader... you can get to it easier buy just pulling your battery. Once it out for a few seconds press and hold the <---(back arrow btn) while pressing volume down and then press and hold the pwr button until you get the rainbow screen. No need to hit the hand cramping reset. At the bottom of the the screen it will say "serial" plug in your usb cord and then flash using the normal procedure.

MR5 uses Titanium, which is the Windows Mobile 6.5 interface. I dont' believe there's any TF3D or TF3D2. I prefer SPB Mobile 3 over all of them and it seems to work well with any of the ROMS I burn.

I dont' know on this, it's why I don't use Titanium, it requires a heavy amount of customization that is only doable with 3rd party tools or registry editing.

There are no "tabs", because there's no TF3D. I would guess you could try and install TF3D. But if you REALLY want TF3D I recommend Mighty ROM 4. I would not recommend any Rhodium (TF3D2) ROMS, they have too many bugs that make the interface unusable.

Not to disagree, but MR5 does have tf3d. It's the standard tf3d, not tf3d2. You can select titanium or tf3d in the Settings>Today>Items>Windows default(titanium), or Tf3d(lower on the list). You can probably use tf3d configurator to make changes as well. Regarding pictures, you just need to find out where the pictures are saved that and move your pictures to this folder or change the path. Regarding customizing titanium. chome editor(install this via cab) or titanium customizer are user friendly allowing you to select/deselect panels, reorder them, etc. There's a bit of a learning curve since 6.5 is new. It's just your preference in the end whether you like it or not.

A couple of months ago, before Mighty Mike was willing to take donations, I found a creative way to "re-pay" him for all his hard work. I purchased a domain for his use. At the time, though, he was not ready to do anything with it, so it has been sitting idle. Today, that's changed and the site is live, thanks to LilRico's hosting. It will be a work in progress, but check it out and please spread the word... http://www.MightyRom.com.

Rileyd5 & marcjen

thanks for the input on tf3d and titanium, i will try messin around with the chrome editor.
as far as pics go i wanted to find a way to keep them in the internal storage to save space on main mem, but the pictures "tab" for lack of a better term, pulls the pictures from the main memory, im just guessing this because its the avatars and what not.

Rileyd5 can you post the chrome editor cab?

Here is the cabs for chome editor and titanium weather 4.2 in case anyone is interested. I would turn off titanium first before installing. start>settings>today>items>uncheck windows default. check out this thread, post 22 for more info on titanium weather and radar setup as well as chome editor info.

Post 22 of this thread doesnt have what you spoke of.

and if i turn off titanium to load the weather cab will it mess anything up switching from titanium to tf3d? or is that what it switches to when you turn titanium off?

i dont want to mess anything up now that i have 6.5 running smooth

Yep same problem here. No sync'ing. Reflashed the rom twice, no go. It's too bad, this looked to be a very stable WM 6.5...I need sync though.

If you have bluetooth on your computer, you can sync your phone via bluetooth. That's what I did, and it works very well :) A temporary fix until the USB sync'ing is fixed.

in that post, it describes how to remove panels or add panels. But it's very simple. the left side of the panel allows you to rearrange the titanium panels, the right side allows you to remove panels or add them. Here is a pic of the interface. There are no reg edits. Turning off titanium does nothing other than allowing you to add the t weather panel without interference, it's good to close something if you adding functionality to it. But it will not effect tf3d at all. I would suggest going to showaco threads to learn more about t weather as well since I am by no means the expert. I chuck it on and rearrange a couple panels, remove a couple, done:)

Well it recommended that before you flash any rom to your phone that you flash the stcok rom and perform a hard reset; so to answer your question that is the steps that you should take before each and every flash. i had that issue before but like you i had to learn the hard way

im pretty sure that all diamonds have the built in 4g mem card. if this is true he can download ppcPimBackup. I have been using it as long as i have been flashing. then you can flash from the 4g memory as described in the thread
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=40490

the cab for pim backup can probably be found by using the search method in the MR4 forum.
