Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]

A little help please! I upgraded to the latest Rom a couple weeks ago. Initially it was working just fine, no problems, and very smooth. Now my phone is operating very, very slowly.. even with resets. Along with the battery draining at a faster rate than the old rom. The only other apps i installed were the Titanium weather and Favorite people. Any suggestions on how to speed up the processes, and possibly increase battery life? Thanks!

You may just need to install cleartemps and delete ie, opera cache, and livesearch, google maps etc. Here is the cab for this. Also look up cleanram on google. This will help free up memory if you device gets sluggish. Battery life is hit or miss really, it all depends on your usage.

Hello, I've tried many times to install the latest mighty ROM on my CDMA HTC Diamond but somehow it always resets itself. I mean, I successfully installed it et al. and I'm able to customize the phone but as soon as I power off the phone, it resets itself. I need to re-align the screen and go to through the initial set-up. The phone also freezes and I have to do the phone reset.
Am I forgetting to do something?

not to sound like a parrot, but did you remember to flash back to your carrier's shipped rom? also don't forget to clear storage after you flash MR6 and delete any old programs off your internal storage

you can find your carrier's shipped roms here:

so ive been researching all day on this topic and cant find a good answer...or one that i want to hear rather.
as of late my touch screen has gotten a mind of its own. scrolling through webpages is impossible due to what seems like a calibration issue.
so i calibrated...nothing....soft reset...nothing...hard reset...nothing....
FINALLY i reflashed the ROM and it worked smoothly for 8 hours or so, but is now screwing up again.

can someone tell me that i dont have to spend $50 on the ins claim?

Personally I would flash back to the shipped rom and clear all unneeded folders from internal storage. hard reset and again and calibrate the screen on the shipped rom. See how it goes for a day.

Did anyone ever find a solution to re-enable the battery meter by default? I hate having to click up top to see where my battery is at, and I hated that ariel battery meter

I'd be interested in this too. I had to ditch Mighty 6.5 due to this annoying issue.

I use batti, and configure it to have a very thin white line across the top of my screen. You almost don't know it's there, but clearly tells you everything you need to know.

I understand your frustration. My battery icon works just fine, and I still prefer to have the batti line, which then frees me to have the clock available in all tabs. To each his own ...

love the rom...its what should have shipped STOCK. battery life on this thing is AMAZING! i love the 1x only option. that itself probably has saved me so much battery life. voice quality isn't any worse either, thanks to sprint.

only nit pics are that the battery meter doesn't say percentages anywhere, so i have to rely on s2u2 for a percentage. other nit picks is that it seems my touch requires more of a pause for presses vs the oem rom. closing apps and pressing start can't be done with a quick tap, but rather a tap with a slight pause, which i don't like. also the call log within the phone dialer doesn't support finder scrolling.

try using the 1x only option for phone services. this aided my battery life a lot. the phone isn't always searching for a digital signal so battery life is much better.

I wanted to update my very old 6.1 rom to a new 6.5.
I tried Jucy and found too much bugs. Then I tried Energy and almost bricked my cel with it. It crached every boot before being able to connect or run any program even with hard reset.
THEN i tried this super stable everthing working ROM! No beta OS or experimental program version, just super fast bug free.
Thanks a lot!
:-P

Try this. It sets the screen sensitivity to max. Works nicely.

I just did the 6.5 mightyrom upgrade last nite, i really like the slick minimal feel to it... And i really like the non 6.1 look things simply looks smoother and uptodate.. I also installed the batti app wich is way better then the old 6.1 version. This was not my first time flashing the rom but it was my first kooked rom it went very smoothly.

Thanks for this...

Some questions:
-can i add or remove items of the Today page? I tried the today settings page but i dont see any way of adding or removing items, i have keep windows default selected under items.

-is there away to install the weather app? i see i can go back to the old touchflow to get all the original look back, but i would just like to add weather to the mightyrom6 look.

-how close is this mightyrom to a oem 6.5 device? is this what a new phone will look like?

-is the rom or 6.5 that still requires me to make 3 taps to access new email when i get notification while running a program? ie: im surfing and get email notice and have to tap 3 things to get to my mail..

sorry for being a noob, i did not read the 100 pages.. :)

TKG26, all of the things you are looking for are on this site. When I get home I'll check in to see if you've found them , if not I'll post the cabs. I won't be home till 11pm though.

Is anyone experiencing freezing for like 30 seconds with this new rom? For some reason I am. I tried the cleartemp.cab and it just doesn't seem to help. What happens is after texting or opening an app, the phone will just freeze for about 30 seconds, and then it will be functional again. Other times it will just lag. In the beginning the rom worked very well, but I am starting to experience problems with it now.

Any tips?

After installing the weather app, drop the last file I supplied you with in the weather program located in the program folder.

Thank you for the cabs, very help full... I had been using the Showco versions before and they were casing some problems with this ROM.

Do you have a "favorite people" plug-in that works with this? I've been trying ATContacts v0.98.CAB but its very buggy. Mainly when I click on a contact the "summary" page comes up, but it never lets me go back to the home screen even when I use the hardware buttons... It somehow always takes me to the edit contact information screen....

THANKS! that did the trick... now the only other thing i have going on with this app is:
-MSN WEATHER WIDGET screen on the weather says the following when i press on it "Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename"

Other then that its fully functional for me, and the dead link is not an issue...

A few questions from my prev post if anyone wants to take a crack at them?:

-how close is this mightyrom to a oem 6.5 device? is this what a new phone will look like minus the bloat?

-is the rom or 6.5 that still requires me to make 3 taps to access new email when i get notification while running a program? ie: im surfing and get email notice and have to tap 3 things to get to my mail..

I installed the Titanium Weather Cab and got it working, but the Forecast part isn't working. It's just blank. Current condition and Temp works fine, but the 5-day forecast is empty. Also, I installed the iTouch.cab and I cannot find the app anywhere, and the touch response doesn't seem any different that prior to installing it. And one last thing, for some reason I cannot receive MMS messages or send them. The option to send pictures as text messages is greyed out. My girlfriend sent me a text message with pictures and I never received it. I cannot find anything on how to fix it.

Yes, I've been experiencing this as well. This ROM is not functioning well and could use an update. My phone can become sluggish. When trying to text, the keyboard almost always hides the text box. I have to hide the keyboard and then unhide it in order to see what I am typing.

The newest issue is that GPS doesn't work. My phone has randomly restarted when trying to use GPS. :(

I'm considering flashing back to 4.8 if there are no solutions to the freezing... 4.8 worked the best for me.

I'll be posting a couple of questions for which I have not found the answers yet...forgive me if my ignorance (or poor searching) keeping me from the answers but here we go:

The “white curtain” is a small but annoying thing!

I think this is the fix, posted on page 91 of this thread -

using a registry editor (like PHM registry editor) go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Today
then delete the keys labeled "Bubble" and "Toast"
after a soft reset your phone shouldn't show the wm 6.5 popup over the s2a dialer

Page 91 was posted before the “final” of this ROM, so perhaps things have changed. When I look at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Today in Resco Explorer there are two folders with those names (Bubble and Toast). Within each folder there are a lot of individual folders; names are things like "BubbleBorderThemeImage".

Should I delete the entire Bubble and Toast folders, or something within the folders?
