have you tried looking in the folders? if there aren't any files that will tip you off, you can normally tell what it might be when you look at the rgu. i'm not at my kitchen computer, so i can't peek in them, but off the top of my head, irda is new, phone is, well, for your phone, as is the phone redist. ppgprov was included in past SYSs, so it's probably still important. wow, this answer sucks, sorry about that. but yeah, whenever i see a ported SYS, i always check it against a previous working sys and check out if there are any new folders.

*edit* Looks like in the WindowsLIVE and WindowsLiveIM folders. Any place else where there might be components missing in this latest sys?

*edit* Pulled the WindowsLive folders over from my previous working sys now I'm getting "cannot build default.hv and user.hv" error when building. Any help is appreciated.
i always remove messenger, so can't help you out too much there, but i do believe that another folder references it in their rgu. sorry, that probably doesn't help much.

as for the "cannot build default.hv" error, just check your log.txt in your temp folder and scroll to the bottom. it should say where the error occurred there.

Sorry I forgot to update my question. The default.hv is resolved and was an unrelated issue that just happened to start at the same time so I connected the two in my head.

The Windows Messenger and MyPhone issues persist for me. Seems like there are missing components somewhere.

yeah, i still have issues with them too. strangely enough, they work on groove's rom, but when i used his SYS to make my ROM, it didn't work. i didn't look into it too much since the marketplace isn't set up yet and i wouldn't use myphone, but it is strange that it's not working.

Re: For Chefs: 21234 SYS and ROM folders for CDMA Diamonds

default.hv errors are almost always rgu errors in an oem, likely from package creator. like scrambler said, look in log.txt and look for the last dsm listed, then search for it in your oems. That is the offender. I usually export my rgu entries with wince cab manager instead of package creator, and that seems to work good.

Skybox and Messenger work fine in my kitchen, so you may wanna try that.

Are you using this sys or did you port your own?
