~ This ROM is based off of the Alltel shipped ROM. It has been completely stripped, with necessary components updated (see changelog). It has been created with the intentions of optimal stability, battery life, speed, RAM and storage space.

~ It was tested and tweaked by me for months, and then tested by other PPCGeeks (thanks again!) for about a month to ensure that nothing was overlooked.

~ And yes, MMS works.

I really like this ROM, but I'd like to get the People tab back in manila. I tried installing TF3D Config, but it gives me a Unicode error when I launch the program after installation. I haven't seen this error with other ROMs. Any ideas how to fix it? Other than not having a way to adjust the tabs in TF3D, I love this ROM. Good work, and I'm looking forward to a solution to the TF3D Unicode error. Thanks!

As long as I'm typing, thanks to all of the cooks out there - I've been a WinMobile addict for a while now, and you guys keep it fun and interesting! I really appreciate all your hard work to provide the less motivated (like me) with cool new OS, tweaks, and apps to keep our devices cutting-edge!

I've been running one of AJM's Alltel Roms for about a mopnth now and I love it, battery life is great and the speed rocks! I can't wait to try this one...

im going to actually restore all the default tabs in manila. ill have the new version up soon.

ixl, i know you like the manila-less rom- im gonna be putting a new one of them up as well. it is going to be even smaller/cleaner, so look for that pretty soon.

Yes MMS works completely. I've had no problems sending and receiving to both Alltel and other carriers.

And SMS, which works differently than MMS, works as well.

Youtube doesn't install right? idk. i installed it but its not in programs list nor is it in remove programs. but when i install it again it says "update prevoiusly installed youtube"? or something like that.

Okay thanks it works! btw Facebook, Google Maps, windows live/ messenger, and trapster works fine. GamesFolder.cab i dont believe works either though. :/

Three new ROMs up. New version - Standard, designed to give the functionality of the stock ROM, so it includes the apps of the stock ROM.

Every now and then when im trying to use the data connection (ie updating weather, live messanger) it says error cannot connect or sorry user name and/or passowrd is incorect. I usually just soft reset and it works again. Good job on this ROM. I cant find any other issues and I may just need to revert to stock and flash again idk.

EDIT: correction its 1.0 I have menu enhancement.

I cant believe how fast the menus pull up! Settings and Start menu dont play around when you press the links and I even have it connected w/ active sync! good job. Havent tested it yet for that issue w/ the 1.o ROM. Keep ya posted> Good job ;)

if you are using the standard version it just got a little faster...



New Standard Version up, more compressed = smaller and faster.

Well I like it alot. Seems to be doing it again saying failed to connect.. as i was in Live Messanger. And just wondering is data suppose to auto disconnect after a while of not using it?

10 seconds. I was wondering if that was possibly the culprit... are you doing anything specific when it says 'failed to connect'? also, any other cabs installed?

Ugh Google maps is. Other than that no. And it seems to happen when it tries to go from data off to on. because its happened with weather and live messenger i dont think this is an app issue.

I'm thinking it does it when it first starts up the data connection. Once, it did it when i was in comm manager trying to get it to connect. But this was after live wouldnt connect with that error message. So I'm not sure.

Im going to pay more attention about when this happens and whats going on when it does.

i dont use live messenger... but i do have weather and email updating every hour no problem- data connects, then disconnects as it should.

i have a feeling its something with live messenger (speculating). hows your opera, ie, and google maps connection to data?

I just tried opera and it gave me an error and now also google maps is doing the same it was able to download a few maps then i moved locations and once it tried to download new maps it failed. I am thinking about flashing back to the stock and back to 2.o and seeing what happens. My previous rom was from clak's kitchen with 6.5.

Last night I keept trying to use Internet sharing and it just wouldnt work. Sometimes it gave me an error sayin connection ended by host and I was using Windows 7 RC not sure why my pc would end it. But the NDIS drivers installed fine, but it woulnt tether if my life depended on it. :/

remember, this flashes everything back to how it was stock- including radio and bootscreens.


i like to compare the size of the stock or shipped roms to the size of mine. i've gotten to almost exactly 50% of the shipped rom size with my 'clean no manila' version. sort of a testament to how much extra crap that gets thrown in the stock and shipped roms and weighs them down!

Im using Internet sharing as i type this :D... Seems to be working.. Sharing and weather are for now.. I just installed google maps so im going to try live messenger tonight... Thanks for this awesome ROM

May want to include this to your .cab collection.. i kinda skimmed through PPC geeks and didnt find any topic threads on this but My Phone is now live... here is the .cab for it... its sik!

Its working fantastic so far... seemed like a tiny bit slower then b4 but its stable and my PC likes the connections so far I think. :D And yeah I just uploaded everything to my phone website its snazzy I have to admit.

if you are talking about bottom left soft button within manila, thats an easy regedit:


in HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila

Value Name: HomeLSKPath from \Windows\fexplore.exe to \Windows\cprog.exe

or you can use apps like diamondtweak to change it as well
