21501 has been so stable for me, I am reluctant to try this new sys/xip out. I know conflipper released it very early this morning, but does anybody have any experience with this at all?

It's faster.

I can't wait to try this out, the previous build has a few quirks on my phone.

I know this was discussed when the last 6.5 sys came out, but I can't remember and I'm sure others using Calc's kitchen will want to know...

What was the cause of the "integer overflow" error when building?

Why do they keep going back and forth with the build numbers? was 21501 not offical?

I believe there are two different development trees which results in the two different numbering schemes.

I've since false reports of 21502 being leaked, but conflipper mentioned that he is not sure if that base will every be released. I'd take his word for it.

I am going off what I read in the 6.5 thread where this stuff is originally being released in the software section.

seems to vary from build to build, just hit "DoIt" again and it will point to the problematic file w/another error message. :thumbright:

haven't had a chance to DL this sys, but on con's the files are already demodularized, however they're still inside the modules. check to see if that's the case for this sys. ifso i think they need to be removed.

Thanks... I need to read up on modularization.

Why are you adding files -- the SYS as it is works fine? Are you adding Windows Live? That may be your problem, I got a non-booter when trying to add it. Since it is now available as a cab install, I can live without it in the rom, plus it saves space for those who don't care about it.

Me? I'm not adding anything except for some skinned png's.

*edit* I get the integer overflow error, then add the reloc files you posted to the kitchen, then anything I build gets stuck on the boot screen after I flash.

Well, I dunno what to tell you. I have already build 5 roms with this sys, and uploading the one I'm happy with now after some modifications.

Did you add WMReloc too? Kitchen root and tools.

Yeah, there were 3 reloc files... added them to the kitchen and tools folder. Same thing actually happened to me when the 21501 sys came out, and I ended up just waiting for Calc to add them to his kitchen. I'm sure I have done something wrong, but have no idea what.

I'd suggest that you first start with the SYS unmodified, and limit the OEMs you add to the minimum necessary, and see if you can get a booter. Then build another with a few OEM's added at a time, until you get a non-booter. It's a pain, but it may be necessary to isolate the issue.

If you still have problems, let me know and I'll send you my OEM base which is working with this SYS.

Easiest way of finding the problem files is to open BuildOS when G'Reloc throws that error and press the play button, it will it tell you which file needs to be unmodulated. And BTW, I'll PM you the album stuff in a little bit

Well, since we haven't seen any 216xx releases, I'm ok with that. However, I think that's BS (got a link?). Either way, this build is faster and seems more stable.

BTW Guys, don't forget to hit the http://67.228.199.237/forum.ppcgeeks...ost_thanks.gif button for the Cap'n.

Re: For Chefs: 21215 SYS/XIP ported for CDMA Diamond here

Ok so I am getting the integer overflow issue as well and I tried to do what Calku said but I may have did it wrong. I just went back into his kitchen and clicked on the Diamond Kitchen and selected 1 and 1 then hit play it does error but it just says "The process cannot access the file "temp\dump\wldap32.dll\tmp'" because it is being used by another process". Is this what I am supposed to assume is the error?

EDIT: Now oddly enough if I click ok on the greloc integer overflow error, and then just click X on the next window that pops up, it will complete the process of building the rom. Should I trust flashing it?

Re: For Chefs: 21215 SYS/XIP ported for CDMA Diamond here

i'm getting the same errors, if you click "doit!" in greloc after clicking ok on the integer overflow error, it will tell you the file & folder.

i'm having to demod files that were fine in previous builds so i've gotta be doing something wrong also

My experience with the fkae GReloc and WMReloc, is its a waste of time. Modify your kitchen script to use native WMReloc, I have been doing it for a month now, not a single issue. If you need help modding the scripts, Ill post the info in another post

Hi Guys.

Sorry for leaving you in the lurches yesterday. I posted the sys, and then hit the road for a trip up to Humbolt and back. I didn't realize that this sys had an issue with Opera not working. Indagroove told me about it when I was on the road yesterday, but I couldn't do anything while I was traveling and stuff. I guess Calkulin has already fixed it, so that's good. I've leaving again in just a bit for a day or two, so I can't post the fixed version, but I know that Indagroove ported Calkulin's fixed version, so maybe he will or you can find Calkulins. Otherwise I will post the fixed version in a few days. Ok, gotta try more of this Humbolt now..
