Does 640x480 display more text than 320x240?

Hi, are there actually more lines of text displayed on the diamond than a regular 320x240 screen? I was disappointed when the Treo Pro was 320x320 but did not display any more info than a 240x240 screen. Things were sharper which I'm happy about. The 320x240 screen still displays more text than the 320x320 screen.
