It's really kind of been the reverse for me. Better data speeds but not quite as good on battery performance. It's just going to be different for everyone I think.

I really like this radio, why isn't it added to the radio stickies thread?

Good point Pask. I mentioned this to Juggalo a while back but he hasn't responded.

It's pretty good. I have used it and the telus radio mostly. right now back on the telus. I seemed to get better signal with the telus but less consistent data but who knows. They are all probably the same!! a big conspiracy.:)

yep. i might have to try 1.07 out again. maybe its a mental thing, but i hate less bars even though it doesn't mean anything according to some people. Have you noticed any benefit to this radio over the telus?

by the way, have you tried groove's new 6.5 final rom. very nice. also one with hd manilla.

I think the new radio for me just seems to last longer with the battery life... I don't get really into internet speeds but I seem to get same amount of bars just better battery life.... But it is comperable to the telus...

no I haven't I really like rhodium, I am really liking bonz rom now.... It is the stuff... Battery is amazing and rhodium is so smooth... especially when going into landscape... I am sticking to rhodium for now.... 6.5 just seems like a cosmetic thing to me.. I haven't seen anything really better besides the skinning for it windows in it.... I wish groove would make a rhodium 6.5 that would be sick.... I drool over the juicy 7 rom with windows 6.5 and rhodium.... But thats it for now, I'm loving bonz....

yes, Bonz's rom is very good. I was using it all day. never thought I would get into 6.5 but Groove's Chronic & new release are sweet! plus RSTG new spb rom is awesome. oh well, have good night :)

Personally I think the whole "location for radio" thing is crap. That's just me though. That said 1.11F works fine for me.

I initially would of disagreed but noticed that my data and connection doesn't seem to change that much no matter what radio I use. Maybe it makes a differerence in fringe areas.

I was just checking this radio out in T.P. thread..http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=63970..and everyone in there seems to be saying this is best radio yet...Any reason this hasn't made it to stickys yet?

On the telus raditieo I had 1 bar in my basement. Calls dropped all the time. I have made 18 calls and quality was perfect rocking 3 bars.

I used to think so too, but then I realized that some radios are more aggressive than others. I find the Telus radio tends to poll the towers less often and is much less likely to bounce between 1x and EVDO which definitely saves battery life. I use the sprint now because I live in a big city and I rarely have trouble with signal, but I have noticed that rural areas and those who are not surrounded by cell towers are better off with Telus.

edit: I usually even change my radio when I am going to the cottage just because of this. Without a doubt I get better battery life up there with Telus. I got bored and since nobody was calling me (basically I never touched the phone), I left my phone out for 2 days on each radio twice too see which one drained faster.

Ditto, I have solid signal almost everywhere I am (LA/OC California). The one place that is bad was at a school I was working at. Bounces constantly between EV and 1X. Poor data speeds, signal and battery life. You could noticeably see the difference between radios. Not that it made it dramatically better, but battery life almost doubled, and data was actually usable. And yes, I tried different radios numerous times (work was quite boring :D)
